Don Lemon's "No Talking Points" on race

I happened to catch this yesterday on CNN:

Thoughts? I did a quick search, and saw reactions ranging from "he's right" to "he's blaming blacks for institutional racism".

I do remember reading in Obama's "Dreams of My Father" of his observation that the use of the n-word wasn't completely transformed, and that it was often still used as a put-down.

What's your point?

Just wondered if anyone else saw it and had a reaction. I only had a few minutes yesterday, but it caught me by surprise.

I didn't see the 7/27 CNN segment, but did watch the recent Don Lemon-hosted special, "The N Word", which was also on CNN (in June, maybe?). Sounds like the 7/27 segment touched on some of the sentiments from the original show, which is well worth checking out if it's been archived somewhere online.
