As far as I know, being the wife of a former US Navy man, you can salute when out of uniform--my husband always returns a salute from the guard at the gate when we go on base, and he's never in uniform anymore as he's retired now. He also salutes the flag when we're at an event where the national anthem is played, while others place their hands over their hearts. But I'm pretty sure that civilians saluting a flag, or saluting a military person, is a breach of protocol.

So unless you served in the US military, Doug Phillips Is A Tool, knock it off already. :evil-eye:

While chauffeuring Billy Graham around Washington D.C., Phillips learned about history as Graham pointed out places where he met dignitaries and took part in events. Phillips used this story to explain that the best way to understand history is to study primary documents and meet the people who shaped it.

The church I used to attend did a conference with NCFIC/my parents were in the Bradricks home church way back when. All that to say : after seeing the pictures of this crapshoot....I am so ashamed that I ever looked up to these people, in any way. It's just WEIRD, their fascination with returning America to its "roots". Roots where women were passed around like property (which many fundamentals still like to do), where any race but white was deemed "less" (I still know a lot of people like this), where birth control wasn't used (and you end up with dozens of children you can't properly take care of)....they are just freaking weird and creepy. I call "creep" on any adult man who loves to dress up as much as Dougie the Tool.
