Interesting Background on Morecraft

I recently found this history online on the site of a reformed Presby denomination. I had been looking into this group because they have a fairly active church in the DC area and I was curious. At any rate, as I read, it became apparent that these folks were once allied with Morecraft and then broke away. There's a lot that goes unsaid in this pastor's version of events, but reading between the lines, I wonder if the breakup happened over Reconstructionism/Rushdoony.

Even though the author goes out of his way to be vague and charitable, I still can't help getting a creepy feeling about Morecraft as I'm reading this.

Very interesting - thanks for sharing this. Lots of what seems to be coded language in that church history:

"opposition to the deadening theology and social direction of the Presbyterian Church (US)"

"rallying point for people interested in restoring the Southern Presbyterian Church"

"the two of us should have paid closer attention to polity"
