Seppis should be ashamed...

Living your beliefs is one thing...that's quite alright. "Chastising" the city council/mayor for gay pride month and video taping it...not so much... Seppis have just been moved to the scary fundy list occupied by Westboro Baptist. When you look beneath that sugary coating with a sick the inside is crawling with vile nastiness.

Ummm...do they really think history was devoid of gays until Oscar Wilde's time???

For 1500 years there wasn’t a single case of Homosexuality. The death penalty was given for this death-style. Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde and Jeremy Benthem were the only known Sodomites for 250 years.

melodys-notes.blogspot.com/2013/06/lance-before-porterville-city-council.html Lance, before the Porterville City Council June 4. 2013

Lance was the seventh in line.

He also gave a proclamation against the Mayor of Porterville's sodomite declaration.

Oh and they made the local news paper: http://www.recorderonline.com/articles/ ... -read.html

Not breaking the link since it's a newspaper.

Where in the world do they come up with homosexuality not existing for 1500 years? Ancient Rome? Ancient Greece?

Nothing like people who think back on gay people being executed with fondness. For people who supposedly pride themselves on their Americanism, they're awfully attached to British colonial tradition.

Under those posts is one praising known sodomite Glenn Greenwald. Do they know their hero is a homosexual?

The universe has an odd sense of humor....

IDK....School of the dining room table fail?

Their hearts are cold. And that colonial/puritanical bent seems to be part and parcel of fundamentalist dominionism?

Wait, aren't they the idiots who harass women outside of parenthood clinics? And once actually managed to convince a poor woman to not terminate her pregnancy cause they could help her... by having a baby shower?

No homosexuals for 1500 years, eh? Huh. I've got one for them: James I. Yeah, that King James.

If there weren't any homosexuals, why does Paul feel it necessary to specifically teach against it?

Um, what about the extensive gay subculture Wilde was part of. The scores of rent boys he patronised. What about Bosie?

Not to mention all the other confirmed homosexuals and homosexual subcultures that have always existed.

Huh? What about the ancient Greeks, as probably the best known example? And if there were no 'sodomites', why the need for the death penalty for sodomy...?

THIS. If they had any critical thinking skills, they would understand that nobody makes laws or preaches against things that nobody is doing in the first place. In fact, one of the ways we learn about taboos in societies is by looking at their law codes.

How about frescoes discovered in Pompeii? IIRC, they have all kinds of sexual behavior portrayed.

They can say whatever they want, and believe whatever stupidities they wish, but the gay rights train has left the station, and there is overwhelming support in the United States for gay rights including gay marriage.

As the movement continues to gain momentum, the Seppis and their ilk looking increasingly idiotic.

Well I know they reject anything that they disagree with but this story, online today, says that archaeologists have unearthed the 5,000-year-old remains of what they believe may have been the world's oldest known gay caveman.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstop ... found.html

They'd just spin it as one of the reasons for Noah's flood....

1) Yes – these are the very same people who take pictures of prisoners – women in legal custody – as they enter the women’s clinic, and then post those pictures online. I guess the family that exploits together stays together.

2) Yes again – although I suspect the sort of woman who was convinced against an abortion by the Seppis was probably on the fence about it anyway and maybe was even hoping for a, um, second opinion.

(And homosexuality didn't exist for 1500 years? SOTDRT fails again.)
