Highlights:

First hour:

First 10 mins about the gays in Pensacola, they are going to be sinning a whole lot this weekend.

5 mins of prayer

5 mins of songs

Dede speaks. Her mom was in an abusive marriage and Dede has two older sisters. She left this husband and had an affair with a married man and ended up with Dede. Dede's dad went to get a pack of cigarettes and never returned.

Dede was developmentally behind, she wasn't potty trained as a toddler but instead as a child. Same with walking. Didn't say her first word until she was 2.5.

She was taken to the doctor as a baby and it was found that her "organs were growing but her bones weren't" and "brain was growing but the skull wasn't" and they told her mother death was imminent. She was sickly and in the hospital a lot.

Her mother got saved and she had hope and asked the Lord to help her baby girl.

Her organs would grow and then her bones would catch up just in the nick of time to prevent her death.

She was 6 years behind her peers, developmentally. She had no friends.

At 9 she gave her heart to Jesus and she was singing in church. They told her this was her gift.

The Dr. then told them "We don't know what's going on with your daughter, but she's not sick anymore" So she was growing normally.

Mom marries a new man at this point and he adopts Dede (age 9).

Dede was really into Jesus and other kids mocked her all the time. She was still a little *slow* and was treated like she was stupid.

This concludes hour one and now hour 2 about her allegedly abusive husband begins.

I'm wondering if it was a Failure to Thrive sort of situation and she was in the hospital because her mother couldn't provide the nutrition and stimulation she needed to grow normally. This WAS 30 years ago so lengths-of-stay at hospitals differed from what we see today, as did CPS/DCFS intervention.

Hour 2

Dede was going to a church in Nebraska and fell head over heels in love with the Pastor's brother. He was a senior in Bible College and was super religious. He loved her and proposed to her the day after Christmas.

Dede began house sitting and dog sitting for a man in the military.

Her fiance dumped her, and "I mean DUMPED me" and she suffered immense heartbreak.

She said this isn't ok and she was going to marry the next man who comes along.

When the military man came back into town, Dede left because the man had a girlfriend. But a few weeks later he called her. Dede went to his house to return a CD she found in her car. He had broken up with his girlfriend. Dede now views him as a "hunk of meat" and her "hornymones" kicked in. She knew she wanted to marry him.

And she did not consult the Lord about this decision.

At age 27 he proposes to her. She slept with him before they were married. And "When you sleep with someone you are having sex with every person they've ever had sex with. You are bonding yourself with every emotional and physical scar they have. You are now carrying this persons problems. You are carrying burdens you were never supposed to carry"

Greg voices an AMEN!

Dede was not a virgin. She had already "given that away" when she was 25. To someone who was a fugitive. And she did meet him at church.

Future husband complains he has never been able to have sex with a virgin.

Allegedly:

He wanted to do things in the bedroom she was "scared of"

He was addicted to pornography so he didn't need her.

18 months into the marriage he punched her in the stomach. He asked her what she wanted to do that night, she said she didn't care, so he punched her.

She went for a drive to collect herself and he locked her outside. She went to the military police but said she didn't want to press charges. She had a police escort help her get her things. But he showed up all sweet. She felt that she had to stick it out. She left several times and always came back.

In her 6th year of marriage she got pregnant. She has a son. One month later he picks a fight with her, shoves her against a wall. But she was tired of it and she had become defensive, rude and and awful to him at this point. He was cheating on her and so she had no respect for him.

She was controlling him by not having sex with him and says that is witchcraft. Witchcraft is manipulating people. She got very good at being a witch.

But she didn't want to be a single mom. She was a SAHM for the first two years. She was born to be a mom. She put her son first but this was a mistake because she should have been putting Jesus first. That would have made a better life for her son.

She made her son an idol. Her words.

She called on God to deliver her. So she says God sent her husband on a special assignment and she used this time to escape.

She was outta there. Moved to her parents. With the son.

A woman was handing out pamphlets in front of walmart about domestic violence and she was able to mark every aspect of domestic violence except death.

Her self esteem was shot from being abandoned by her bio dad and now this. Divorce.

She has "3 college degrees" (nursing, theology, something else) despite being "born a retard" <~the name of one of her songs

Greg enters her life. She is using her gifts of comedy and music. Her and Greg offer a message of hope and healing.

Greg is a masculine hunk with the heart of Jesus. He is a manly man. He has a lot of testosterone. He is passionate.

Now she is happy and nice. Her son is no longer her idol. She puts Jesus first and because of it she can be an outstanding wife and mother.

Her son loves his bio dad. Greg and Dede love this man now. They have eaten dinner at his house. She used to hate him but Jesus...set her free.

They are going to now be broadcasting SIX nights a week.

Good to know she rid herself of that pesky idol who was her SON so she had more time for XGG and Jesus. I'm sure that's exactly what Jesus would have wanted her to do and not XGG's idea at all.

Thanks for the highlights, NotALoserLikeYou.

First 10 mins about the gays in Pensacola, they are going to be sinning a whole lot this weekend.

Hey, so am I, and I am not even gay or anywhere near Pensacola.

Heaven forbid Dede actually puts her child first. That is just evil talk. Glad to see she overcame the need to be a protective mother by dumping her child with this alleged abuser and taking up with a very honorable man like Greg.

Oh, and I see not having sex with one's spouse is actually a form of witchcraft. Listen up ladies. You ever turn down your spouse, you are now actively practicing witchcraft according to Dede. "Sorry honey, not tonight. I am practicing witchcraft."

"Horneymones"? Boy those two have rather colorful language for devout Christians.

If by having sex with XGG she has now had sex with every person he slept with before her I bet her number of male sex partners has increased tenfold.

I'm thinking Dede might be Eskimo sisters with 70% of Southern Florida.

I plan to use hornymones in at least a sentence a day no matter what the context. Also Dede fake cried(my 9 year old fake cries better) for over 1/2 of her "testimony". She had long pauses where it was like she was trying to make it up as she went along. I swear when she threw in the witchcraft part she was auditioning for a part on Passions. I hope nobody tells her it was cancelled :D

Quote
"I must tell you that my wife just poured out her heart sharing her testimony about domestic violence that she endured with her first husband and many other trails.

Her former husband was abusing her on trails? What were they, dysfunctional hikers?

Of course, the idea of Dede walking down many trails made me think of this (with apologies to Bob Dylan):

How many roads must poor Dede walk down

Before she will finally get wise ?

How many seas must ex-gay dude Greg sail

Before he sleeps with some guys ?

Yes, how many times must they swear she's with child

Before this weak fantasy dies?

The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I used to sing the correct lyrics to songs, but EGG and Dede set me free! :D

I didn't listen, but from the recap so kindly provided -- many thanks, NotALoserLikeYou -- I wonder if the one true nugget in her story is that DeDe is developmentally delayed. It would explain so much (as well as make EGG look like even more of a bastard for letting her believe she is pregnant.)

That "withholding sex is witchcraft" thing is ridiculous, but she didn't invent it-- it's courtesy of John Hagee: http://fstdt.proboards.com/index.cgi?bo ... hread=3175

Hagee, BTW, is a piece of work himself.

She was controlling him by not having sex with him and says that is witchcraft. Witchcraft is manipulating people. She got very good at being a witch.

Well, she's still manipulating people. She's manipulating her in-laws into supporting her able-bodied adult self. She's manipulating people into thinking she's pregnant (assuming anyone still believes that). She's manipulating her listeners on this crappy internet radio show in order to drum up sympathy, support, and donations. And she's joined in all these manipulations by her husband.

If manipulating people is witchcraft, then they are both practicing the Dark Arts.

And I still want to know the exact medical terms used to describe her childhood condition, and what precise diagnosis her doctors made. Because surely there is a name for it? If her condition had no name because no doctor had ever seen it before, something must have been written about it in a medical journal? I find it really strange that someone trained as a nurse would describe a serious, life-threatening disorder she'd had until she was nine years old as being "sick" and not name the disorder.

It's suspicious--as are all her claims to being such a devout Christian since childhood, but she never cites Bible verses, or even mentions the Bible very much. I know there are some empty-headed Christians out there who go to church every Sunday and take everything their pastor says as gospel truth, without bothering to read their own sacred text--and the longer I observe Greg and Dede, the more convinced I am that they are two of that kind.

Yeah. The internal organs growing but her bones did not? I call bullshit.

My friend's kid had a condition that more or less manifested exactly like that. She died at six months, and most kids with this disorder die before they're two. To live longer they'll need extensive treatments, most of which are very recent/expensive/complicated - oxygen almost all the time, many many surgeries, etc. Many don't make it to adulthood even with that. They basically get squished to death, and their brain and lungs can't function. No way DeDe could have had that at the time when she was a child and survived to be a healthy adult.

And the only verification of her childhood condition is from Dede and Greg. So very reliable.

I bet they are both developmentally delayed, maybe that's why his parents support them, and why she doesn't have custody of her son. I mean really, only someone who was more than a little "slow" could just decide that they are pregnant and now they are 15 months along. Even Mary had Jesus after 9 months.

A little off topic, but while looking around for what DD might have been diagnosed with as a child (and let's face it, she's not exactly a credible source), I found this rather bizarrely named disorder:

http://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/gard/3 ... esources/1

nothing to do with DD, but just interesting :) (Not breaking since it is the NIH site)

Beg for money. End of. That's the end purpose of the radio show. They need a jumbo jet (but a motor coach might have to do) so they can get the hell out of Greg's poor parents' house. Family is probably about to start circling the wagon around his parents and they know that they can't keep this up forever. They need a back up plan that doesn't involve work. You know how God says an man isn't supposed to have to sell out and turn into one of those "job people" to provide for their family. Oh wait, God didn't say that at all-That was Greg

I suspect that other family is pressuring the XGG's parents to do something about the two able-bodied (forget about their minds) free loaders that are playing the forever pregnancy card. I can't believe that other family are buying into this though the mom seems to want to.

Egads, I can't imagine being a family member watching this weirdness.

What she's talking about sounds almost exactly like Jeune Syndrome, but due to its drastic consequences I call bullshit on her having it and being a fully developed and healthy adult.
