Pieces of my heart

When I was a little fundie girl they talked a lot about giving away pieces of our hearts, and how we had to keep pure so that our husband could have "all our love". I always wondered if that meant I didn't have any left for my kids.

Anyway, I was clicking around YouTube this afternoon and found this song from an old TV show and wondered what I would have thought about it then:

The song is from Square One TV which was an educational show, it's not fundie. I just thought it was funny.

oh that was funny :)

Hm, a fundie would probably decide that the principle of the video was solid and true, and the guy was damned to hell for loving his possessions (and the Giants!), demonstrating why is it ungodly (and even a betrayal of your spouse) to have hobbies, relationships outside the family, and to watch sports. Really, it's a perfect fundie educational tool!

He loved his leather jacket more than his parents and the USA (possibly combined), and gave the same percent to his platonic female friend as to his girlfriend which I'm sure is all kinds of problems for the fundies.
