That would be Justin. I've never noticed a lazy eye, but it could be some other minor eye condition right? Or he could be injured because he has 4 teenage girls raising him and 13 of his siblings...

Maybe he has a lazy eye that is being treated.

They no longer treat lazy eye with an eye patch. They use glasses or surgery to treat it now.

One of the kids that I coach in youth hockey is currently wearing a patch for a lazy eye. It is blue and fits over his glasses. His mom and I had a long talk about it because of safety concerns.

There are a LOT of new pictures on the Picasa site. It seems Jim Bob took the oldest 5 girls to Central America. Has this been discussed yet? They look beautiful in all the pictures.

LOL! That would require (1) somebody to notice. (2) A doctor visit. I think that only happens in an emergency. (3) Parenting.

That looks like the toy eye-patch you see on pirate costumes. If so, then why the hell didn't they take it off before the performance?

Yes, they do still treat lazy eye with an eye patch. I know 3 kids who have had it. Two had their eye successfully corrected with the treatment, one ended up with the surgery.

Joy looks gorgeous in this picture. My suspicions of her spark being quenched have been confirmed though :(

Josiah looks yummy and fabulous. Honestly, I think he's the hottest Duggar boy. I (a heterosexual woman), want to rescue him and take him home with me and teach him the ways of the world.

He seems to have adopted purple as his color; I've seen him in it in quite a few pictures. I like that he's (presumably) excercising some individuality and personal choice.

Dr. Evan Ballard, one of the best eye muscle pediatric eye specialists in MN still uses patching. It depends on which muscle(s) are involved, the age of the child or adult, and other considerations. He treated me for my lazy eye after eye cancer treatment.

The faces those two little girls in the middle of the second(-ish) row are pulling are cracking me up. Rage against the machine, little ladies.

People who listened to the Duggar kids play their violins at that event, likely suffered ear injuries.

My first thought was that he got poked in the eye with one of those damn violin bows.

My guess... if there are no shoots of his injury from all the phones in that household, he's not injured. They are insanely reckless ppl, btw. I would not be surprised by anythhing.

Yes they do still use patching. My daughter wore patches over her glasses up until she was 7. No reputable eye doctor should be recommending surgery as a first line treatment.

Also to add, I would say that's an injury as he's a little old for patch wearing to be effective for a squint.

I wonder if he was just wearing a costume piece and no one was paying attention before the recital/picture was taken. I think we've seen one of the howlers wearing an eye patch before from a pirate costume.
