Embrace authority.

In this 21st century, the idea of a woman being under authority is a very controversial subject. Often women get very agitated when this subject is brought up. The lies of feminism have taught them that in order to be successful or of worth, they need to take on a man’s role and be equal to him. However, as Christian daughters, we should only concern ourselves with what the Word of God teaches. Does He agree with the feminist ideas of a woman being equal to a man or with women making their own decisions independent of their father or husband?

In going to God’s Word, we find that God values women very highly. We find many women who had tremendous roles: people like Esther, Ruth, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Sarah. Each one of these women had a great role to play in history and, in spite of their shortcomings, they did their jobs well. However if we look closely, we find that all of these women fulfilled their calling within certain boundaries; boundaries that God teaches us are His Will, both by precept and example. We find that His ideas of what makes a woman’s life worthwhile, are very different from today’s feministic beliefs.

Embrace authority?

No. And as long as I have free will, no deity can make me!

The lies of feminism

I think it's funny that she says this like it's an actual thing. Like, "everyone knows the feminists lie." Yes, we hold meetings all the time to come up with new lies.

Are the "Lies of Feminism" meetings held any where near "The Gay Agenda" meetings are held?

Wednesday nights at 8. This week we're going to address male submission. If you come bring cupcakes (baked by your husband).

Why does everyone always know about these meetings, except me? Do we have a mailing-list I forgot to sign up to? Or is everyone else just too cool to tell me?

(Also, do have do secret handshakes and codes? Do we get T-shirts and glitter-bomb assault courses? And code-names? Please tell me there are secret handshakes and code-names! )

eta: cross-posted with docmom. Thanks! Are brownies, baked by the partner submissive male acceptable? Or shall I just bring gin?

Well shoot ... that conflicts with my Godless Heathen meetings:/ This week's topic is "How to Persecute Christians by Being Bigots Against their Bigotry Which is Apparently Just as Bad as Their Hatred of the LGBT Community." Suppose we merge the two? I've got some vodka and a copy of The Handmaid's Tale!

I notice that Jael, Deborah, and Rahab-- all of whom are treated as free moral agents apart from any male leadership-- did not make this writer's list of women who played tremendous roles in the bible.

If the quoted post were a composition paper, I'd dock it for ignoring the most obvious counterexamples. That's intellectual laziness.

Sure! We're having a speaker on "Neither a Career Woman Nor a Welfare Queen Be: or How to Stretch Out a Single Pound of Tater Tot Casserole for a Whole Month without Proper Headship."

Do these assholes seriously read the fucking Bible? There are plenty of women without headships who managed themselves quite fine!

I won't embrace authority of any kind; I am my own person and plan to remain that way...even if I should get married at some point.

I know, right? Wednesdays?!? It's a bit of a pain, but then my chapter of the "Godless Heathens" has been doing a bit too much celebrating and not enough activism, ever since Ratzinger stepped down. And there's also the "What would Jesus do"- Weed-Wednesdays, but I'm willing to bring the incense and papers...

All are welcome at our meetings especially if they bring alcohol. Handmaid's tale optional- we all have our own copies. Original Canadian version preferred as important points are obscured in translation to American. Anything baked by male submissive partner is fine. Members of the LGBT community welcome even without baked goods!

Oh...I have to get to Canada? Not that I didn't always suspect, but can we skype?

I would love to come but I need to fit it in with my Question Authority meetings. I have been attending them for decades.
