Sorry if this was posted before. Watch the Duggars act like dumb Americans!

Can Asia handle a Duggar invasion?

On TLC's three-part special, 19 Kids & Counting: Duggars Do Asia, the Duggar family -- yes, all of them -- leave Arkansas behind to taste the offerings of the Far East. And by tasting, we mean getting freaked out by scorpions on a stick and learning to roll their own sushi.

PHOTO: See Michelle Duggar's new 'do!

"It was scary!" says matriarch Michelle Duggar. "Their toilets were very different," observes another family member. (Sorry, we can't keep them all straight!)

Can they find enough rickshaws to transport them all? Do geisha outfits come in extra-tall sizes? Check out this exclusive sneak peek of the special to see how the family fares in China and Japan:

Oh wow... that video... a three part episode of Jim Boob asking people if they speak english and not liking the food. This seriously is going to be three hours of "look at those dumb americans!"

I'm ashamed they share my flag...

I just watched the preview. When I was backpacking, I remember meeting several Americans who sewed Canadian flags on their backpacks. Now I know why - I really, really get it.

I didn't even have the heart to watch them in Europe, but it sounded like they had some pretty bad behavior there. I can't imagine the offensive behavior that'll happen in Asia. Ick. No way am I watching that.

Awww they actually had Jordyn and Josie talking, normally the kids younger than Jackson and Hannie arent interviewed.

I dont know why they go to all of these places when they never really appreciate it.

I now hang my head... I just saw the preview on TLC. I had hoped this would just be a burn off but they're promoting it. I will continue to pray for an editor that is a fan of FJ.

I don't think I'll watch it either, I'm sure they'll take every available opportunity to play the dumb American stereotype and I'd rather not see it.

I'm sure this show would just make me mad and I don't even have cable, but... can't deny I sorta want to see it just to yell at the TV.

Anyway they were on Japanese TV already when they were in Japan to film this thing for TLC. I linked to some clips in some long-expired thread here on FJ...

The clip linked here from TV guide was already annoying. But yeah, I guess they (or TLC) thinks it's funny that they go around asking if people speak English and boggling at the money? Haven't they travelled to tons of places already? Of course people on the street don't speak English and the money is weird (to you) when you go to a FOREIGN COUNTRY, hello!

Did they do this in Israel too? Makes me want to look up those videos now...

That description alone included a bunch of stereotypes.

HELL yeah. Geishas? Rickshaws? Just... lolwut? FWIW they did seem more normal on their Japanese TV appearance but probably because they know they can't make tons of mileage out of just "wow, weird country!" They were being gawked at as "wow, lots of kids!" :)

I figure they go because TLC is desperate for something interesting and they can be counted on to channel some Beverly Hillbillies for the duration of the trip.

Please tell me TVGUIDE's title for the 3 part special "Duggars Do Asia" is actually what TLC named it!

It that really is the title then THERE IS HOPE!

Delicious title. Is it too much to hope it’s true?

A three-part snarkfest. Whether TLC actually does go with that title or not, I think it's pretty clear they are in full "let's toss 'em under the bus for the ratings" mode.

I see Jed nearly got run down by a bus. Wonder if Michelle instinctively grabbed for her iPhone to start filming?

Do the Duggars know what a geisha really is?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geisha

It seems strange to me for them to have their girls dress up as a member of a profession whose main function is to entertain men.

But their kimonos are long and they behaved submissively towards men. That's probably enough for the Duggars, they arent deep thinkers.

That video wasn't available in my region. Maybe TLC will put it on their YouTube channel though.

Oh Lordy, the notorious " Why isn´t the rest of the world speaking our language?" moment. TLC just couldn´t resist to include such a scene :angry-banghead:

I have a feeling, after the Duggars invaded China, the KPCh will be even more determined to carry on their one-child -policy...

Also, I bet there were alot of photo requests on Jim Bob. Taking a picture with the most weird looking westener you can possibly spot is a notable hobby in some asian metropolises

Yes when we saw them in Japan they were rigging up a rickshaw.... and JimBob told me they were having trouble with the food. I told them China would be better and I think they thought I meant they could find some sweet'n'sour chickenetti.
