Shortly after Elijah died, they attended one or two counseling sessions at some place called Rainbow House, or something. It was especially sparkling and awesome because Elijah's middle name was Rainbow. Beyond that there has been no indication of any counseling that I can recall.

Lauren hit the road as soon as possible last year, as soon as they had the van loaded, and many FJers felt like she was literally running away from her grief. Some of us wondered why she didn't just leave the children with the Perth grandparents, but it seemed at the time like she was not getting a lot of family support and would have risked not getting them back. So instead of creating a stable place for them to process this and access a trusted therapist to help them process this trauma, they traveled and were not in any one place for more than a few days at a time.

Grief comes back when it's not dealt with, so she's going to have her hands full with Aisha and Brioni, especially, who are old enough to remember a daily routine with David and Elijah.
