I remember listening to some of these as a kid (and watching some too?). If I remember correctly it wasn't actually time travel. It's funny that if there's some kind of "scientific" explanation, even if the science is completely unexplained and impossible, it's acceptable, but if there's magic involved it's evil even though there's barely a difference (Clarke's third law comes to mind).
