XGay Greg & Dede Haislip- phantom pregnancy?

I want to ask you all something. WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU TO BELIEVE IN MIRACLES? Twenty three years ago, my husband Xgay Greg had a vasectomy. So technically we shouldn't be expecting but God is having His way because we said he could do whatever he wants with us. Then in early April of last year God told us we were "expecting" and Greg and I both said to him, "Great!" I didn't pee on a prego test for at least 1 month because the Lord asked me to believe Him at his word. So, I waited until he gave us the green light...and the pregnancy test showed a (+) result. Then around 16 weeks we felt a little pressured and took a trip to the Carolina Pregnancy Center, (a faith based center that does NOT do abortions); they just give help to expecting parents. A woman took me into a back room to administer a pregnancy test and as we were waiting, she interviewed me. When she was done with her questions she looked at me and said, "Mrs. Haislip, according to this, you aren't pregnant." I got up from the chair and said, "Hmm, thank you for your time." I went out to the lobby and said, "Honey, let's go." When we got outside the Lord spoke to me and said, "Are you going to believe that test or are you going to believe the report of the Lord? Who's report are you going to believe?" I told Greg what happened and I told him what the Lord was saying to me. We stood resolute about what God had said, continuing to live by faith. FAITH IS NEVER CONVENIENT. Onlookers and family have continued to see my belly grow...some giving into fear, others excited, and even more just growing more curious. That’s not all. A couple of weeks after that, I saw blood in the toilet. I immediately said, “Lord, you know what’s going on and I trust you.†He put a calm over me and his presence comforted me. By his Holy Spirit I knew he was saying to me to get Greg and show him what I saw, so I did. When Greg looked in the toilet I told him what the Lord was saying to me, “Are you going to believe what you see or are you going to believe the report of the Lord?†We stood there for just a moment and then flushed the toilet saying, “We’re going to believe the report of the Lord.†Now before becoming pregnant, my periods were irregular. From week 18 on until even now, I have been having monthly periods. I could tell that my faith was growing because I would see the blood and say, “Oh, you’re no big deal for Godâ€. I said to the Lord, “How am I supposed to know when I’m due?†and he said from the time I told you. So from that our projected due date was around the first of the year. The 1st day of January had come and my wonderful mother-in-law thought for sure that we were going to have a Christmas baby. But then the idea of a Christmas baby turned to a new year’s baby, then turned to a valentines baby and here we are on the 18th of February still waiting by faith that our miracle will come. I want to remind you all that Greg and I live with my inlaws and so my mother in law inspects me daily to see the “growing progressâ€. There have been a couple of times that I thought “this might be it†and then the contractions would discontinue. Even though it might seem our miracle has been delayed, it really hasn’t. People think that our estimated time for the delivery MUST have been incorrect but they are mistaken. The Lord has prolonged this pregnancy to get people’s attention. See it would be easy to think that if a woman gives birth even though she had her uterus removed that it’s definitely a miracle. But to say that a delay in a pregnancy is a miracle is much harder to believe because people think that if something is late, then there must be something wrong. There is nothing wrong…well, except for the fact that God has to do something unusual to get your attention. He is not satisfied with where your faith is. Faith doesn’t grow on trees, it grows as you go through valleys keeping your heart and mind fixed on Him. For Sarah in the Bible her faith had to grow just to believe that she could become pregnant at such an elderly age! One of the reasons God wanted her to be pregnant as an old woman was so he could get HIS PEOPLE’S ATTENTION! That’s what God has asked me to do today…get your attention. If you have been stagnant in your faith in Jesus Christ, let this be your clarion call. It’s true that you only need faith the size of a mustard seed to see things happen, but that’s not where your faith is supposed to stay! It’s supposed to grow! So I say again, what does it take for you to believe in miracles? God is still a miracle working God but your faith limits the miracles he can produce in you. Do you want to know for yourself that I Am is the God of supernatural occurrences? Then get rid of your doubt and start believing that with Him, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Our miracle hasn't arrived yet and we're pleased to announce that we still have peace, and I still have a growing belly. We will give a HUGE announcement when the arrival has come. Blessings to you all, Dede. ps. sorry that two of these pictures are hazy, Greg had brought the camera in from outside and it was really cold. Love you all! Mwahhh!

She also attached pictures of her swollen belly. It does not look like a pregnant belly to me at all, but who am I to judge?

Thoughts?

I hope it's a phantom pregnancy, since the other alternative is ovarian cancer. If she had gone to an actual doctor instead of a CPC, she might have gotten more detailed information.

Elsewhere on her FB someone asks her about going to the doctor and she replies that God has asked them to have a faith based pregnancy so she won't go.

Other people ask her about doctors and she just ignores them.

I don't envision this ending well for her.

If she can believe that her husband "used to be" gay, I guess she can believe that she's pregnant.

Seriously, though, she seems to be sinking into mental illness.

Extremely odd. It's odd too, because on Nov. 10 she said, "About 8 weeks to go," and now she's saying the baby's not delayed. But, why would you say how long you have to go if there's not a real end in sight and it's all up to God when the baby will be born? Very, very strange.

Did she marry a prayed-away gay or something? On Facebook next to her name there's "Xgayz Bride" in parentheses.

Maybe she'll choose to birth in a horse stable and lay the baby in swaddling clothes in a manger.

edited: I see Xgay Greg is her husband.

There are so many levels of weird here. Not only is she buying into this whole thing but everyone around her is enabling this.

Take away the pregnancy option and the symptoms are very disturbing. Intermittent bleeding, swelling stomach etc. she needs to see a doctor before she gives birth to a nice big tumour.

He actually has Xgay Greg as his name? Wow.

Her belly kind of looks like a pregnant belly, but a lot of women who get phantom pregnancy develop a large stomach. It's the body retaining fluids and feces.

How sad for her. Phantom pregnancy is the result of deep psychological stress, and often happens to women that have been abused and neglected as children. I hope she gets help.

Yup, he does - along with a pic of the back windshield of his car that says "I used to be gay, but JESUS set me FREE!".

And says they have picked out names - Peter and Bella.

I remember reading that Mary, Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon's daughter had the same thing. Swollen belly, convinced herself she was pregnant, then went months past her due date with no baby.

So what is she going to do? Wait years for her "miracle baby" without ever going to see a doctor? And she claims she's pregnant when her husband had a vasectomy, she tested negative and she's been having periods? There's got to be "faith based" ob-gyns or whatever.

Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if fundamentalism doesn't draw somewhat mentally ill people.

Just FYI- xgaygreg has a youtube channel.

Also, Dede's belly looks the same as it did in July. And it almost looks like she's carrying too high for it to be a pregnancy. Her belly button just looks wrong for someone who is supposedly pregnant.

Her stomach looks too soft and her belly button too soft and deep. She needs to get checked out.

As an aside, she and ex-gay minister husband also run two FB ministries:

I know, it looks like she's pushing it out - in one full-length picture, her butt is sticking up in the air, in a way that looks like she's forcing her stomach out, not that her stomach has necessarily grown.

I guess I might as well include the picture instead of doing a horrible job describing it:

From her replies to somebody on facebook:

Doctors are a blessing to people! God is certainly NOT against doctors and neither am I. If I didn't appreciate what doctors do, I would have never become a nurse.

So she is or was a nurse, too?

:angry-screaming:

What are all those Christians who are going on and on about how she's "strengthening their faith" going to think when it turns out she's just gained 40 lbs and has bloating from hell?

"Oh, we're praying for you gurl. Don't worry about it; God's using you for his purposes!!!!!11!1!!"

Yeah, I said all this to my friend who is a friend of a friend of hers which is how we found her. I said her belly button was too deep and that it looked like a food baby not a real baby. I also got this weird ass line down my stomach when I was pregnant and I don't see hers. I know everyone's pregnancy is different though, but the deep belly button irked. (that's ignoring all the other crazy about vasectomies, periods, negative pregnancy tests, too long gestation and all that)

She said her periods were irregular before she "got pregnant" I wonder if she doesn't have some kind of reproductive system cancer.

Well, "God" told her in April 2012 that she was pregnant. Now, it's 10, almost 11 months since that happened. I wonder how long she'll be able to keep up this charade. If she gets to April and is still "pregnant" the shit is going to hit the fan. I hope she keeps her Facebook public.

She replied in one comment that her due date was January 4th, 2013. She's a tad overdue at this point!

Just what I was thinking as I read-this sounds like what happened with Queen Mary Tudor-It didnt end well...

The thought gives me actual goosebumps.

Her post actually scared me  she breaks my heart because there is clearly something wrong with her.

This is incredibly disconcerting and will not end well.

She looked, what, 4-5 months pregnant (I'm not an expert at all) last July? So, that would mean March-April conception, so she's 10-11 months pregnant now? That's not a thing. That doesn't happen without medical consequences, right?

Very worrisome indeed, her physical and mental health.
