Once upon a time, I was a reporter who sometimes covered the capital in Arkansas.

Also, the red is easily explained. Red = Arkansas Razorbacks. Pretty much EVERY politician wears red in their photos like that

Jim Boob never did anything at the capital that was ever newsworthy, however I did interview his former BFF Jim Holt when he and then Governor Huckabee got into an argument over children of undocumented immigrants getting in-state tuition.

Maybe they conscripted Amy or another family friend at some point? A Holt girl?

The girl is too little to be Amy. Amy is older than Josh so she would at least be as tall as Jana who is in the back. Someone find Scooby and the gang and see if we can solve this case.

Jinger is in back of Michelle. There are 2 mystery girls actually since there would have only been 5 girls and Joy-anna is hidden by the boys (she would have been like 4 at the time)- it is best to zoom in the picture but the blog I got it from this is the size I could get

Homeschoolmama, that pic of Joy brings back memories of the first special. And also shows why she had to get braces sooner rather than later.

I'd forgotten that Jana WAS a bit of a chunky monkey, but certainly not enough to have to join Weight Watchers with her mother.

She's very thin now; how prevalent are eating disorders amongst the girls who escape? I imagine the pressure to be perfect has to manifest somehow and for a family so image-conscious, I wouldn't be surprised if this is more widespread in these cults than we could ever know.

There are two unknown girls in that picture. Joy is near the back holding Jill's hand (I'm 99% sure that Jill was her buddy). This is as much as I've figured out. I'm not 100% on Jill and Jana, because their faces aren't too clear, or the twins, because I can't tell who is in the stroller, but the little boy in front looks too little to be 4-years-old. I'm pretty certain that the girl with the question mark on her and the one holding twin 1's hand are not Duggars.

In one of their many travel episodes, Michelle said they all wear red because it's easier to spot them. It's hard for a kid to escape if she's wearing a giant red frumper, I guess.

In which picture does Jana look chunky? homeschoolmomma1's pictures aren't showing up for me, but I have never seen any of those girls looking chunky.

      Stupid loneliness!
      Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
      Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
      I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
      My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
      And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me. 
      I feel invisible. 
      Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.

      Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.
