Whiner lady's expert take on Obamacare.

Recommended Posts

I know Whiner lady again. I find her quite interesting in a slightly amused fashion. When I picture her I think of a rather clumsy, jolly, rubber ball who inserts her foot in her mouth on a regular basis, absolutely no self awareness of how ignorant she comes across, absolutely no lateral thinking skills or an ability or desire to learn any.

I agree with Minerva though, who said I believe on another thread that she really enjoyed her moment in the internet spotlight after her 'Hurricane Sandy act of God,' post. I suspect she has found a new mission in life and has joined the ranks of righteous bloggers who discuss their political views in a seemingly intellectual manner (fail) whilst actually sounding as uninformed and narrow minded as they tend to be. I really did prefer her when she was whining about her tiny laundry

Anyway, on Papa John and Obamacare

Why do we insist on demonizing those who have made something of themselves? I am much more outraged about the fact that obamacare was rammed down our throats through closed-door meetings w/out the support of the American public! As far as not being a small mom & pop company, while that may be true, the cost to ANY company, not to mention the rest of us, is OVER THE TOP, and I can't blame any company or business for choosing not to support obamacare. For me, it's not about the money, it's about the principle. Period.

Don't be silly of course it is about the money. Why else did you mention the cost. Twice? Principle *snort*

And what I support is called FREEDOM....it's what our country was based on and it doesn't call for the government to intervene in our day to day lives....telling us that we MUST have healthcare. Remember," a government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have." Thomas Jefferson :)

Oh you found a convenient quote which supports your view. Clever.

Jefferson's quote is even more relevant today than it was when he said it. I suppose you don't believe that history repeats itself either?

As far as Papa John's employees receiving health care- they absolutely deserve health care.....just not health care under government control. It's the classic big vs small government argument here. I don't believe in big government, and if the government would get out of the way and let the free markets work, they would. Hmmmmmm....sounds like I might be a REPUBLICAN ;)

See now that's easy. OF course they deserve healthcare. But no way if it is healthcare that disagrees with your politics. So just how will you give these deserving people healthcare? Will you knit it?

All of your comments all lead to the same thing.....entitlements. You all think the government "owes" you something. Not true. And the reason you believe this is because the liberal media has taken over and we are more reliant on government than ever before.

Yup correct. It's a conspiracy. Every Socialist country in the world is brainwashed. Not gonna happen to Whiner lady, nope she has a republican tin-foil hat to repel the evil liberal media.

This one though, this one I loved

She removed a post in which she was called out on her entitlement, her narrow-minded viewpoint, and her lack of knowledge. Unfortunately the commenter linked the Huff post to correct Whiner's school girl error.

Sorry- I don't want links to the left-wing crazy sites on my blog ;)

Hmmm, this is the chick from zachsgang.blogspot.com, right? I just popped over for a look and couldn't see the post, is it possible she's removed it already? It's only been half an hour, that's kind of impressive.

She's just so clueless, so self-absorbed, yet so convinced that she's right and the world is going to go to hell in a hand basket if the whole world doesn't listen to her. But reading her ramblings is kind of like watching terrible porn - it feels wrong, and icky, but you can't look away because it's entertaining, too, and makes you giggle nervously and vow never to do that yourself.

Also, something about her blog screams "Mckmama" to me. The structure of her posts, in particular, is very reminiscent of good old Jennifer's stream-of-consciousness, "I'm-gonna-start-a-new-paragraph-with-every-sentence-because-I-am-above-reproach" style. Ditto all the pictures of perfect houses and spotless kids -I know that's standard on many mommy blogs, but something about this woman's obsession with projecting familial perfection and persecution blown way out of proportion (remember the internet predator attempting to abduct her daughter into sex slavery? Yet she continues to post pictures of her home and family, hmmm...). This woman is like MckMama 2.0.

ETA. Just realized this woman is named Jennifer too. Now I need a tinfoil hat! :shifty:

I think it was on The Colbert Report sometime this past week, but there was an author who had written a book about Thomas Jefferson and he was considered by some people of his time to be an athiest. Funny how fundies like to envoke his words all the time. It makes me giggle when I think about their lack of awareness.

If Obamacare is about the principle to her, than she should not use it. Really, don't go to the doctor unless you can pay the full ride out of pocket if your so worried about taking my taxes to pay for your Pap smear. Doesn't matter if a thief gave you money, do the right thing and don't touch it. ;)

If I had money to burn, I would send every fundie or conservative fruitcake who wants to quote Jefferson a copy of the Jefferson Bible.

What is woth fundies posting random quotes to make an argument? They all do this, it seems. Is it supposed to make them appear well-read, or are they so used to basing everything on the bible that they can't make a logical argument based on facts so they turn to other "scriptures"?

And wtf is with disagreeing with giving people healthcare "on principle"? I would have more respect for people who just admitted it was about the cost rather than that they are just fundamentally against sick people getting care.

She deleted this comment

For you and all the others like you - my friend Savita Halappanavar died in Ireland last week after being denied abortion even though the doctors knew it was killing her slowly. She was going to lose the child anyway. She was in agony for 3.5 days. She begged the doctors to remove the foetus that was killing her. She wanted to live. They said "no, our religion does not permit it". They waited for the heartbeat of the foetus to stop. By the time it stopped, it was too late. It had spread its poison in her body and she died of septicaemia soon after. Her parents have still not come to terms with it. Her husband is shattered. I guess all this does not matter to people like you who sit in the comfort of their homes and harp about religion and what god does or does not tolerate, as if you are privy to what he is thinking. Maybe you'll understand it if your loved ones are ever in this situation, not that I wish it even on my worst enemies. Or maybe you wouldn't understand even then. I highly doubt if people like you are capable of understanding other people's suffering, are able to see beyond their own narrow view. Sitting comfortably and preaching your bigotted views, have you ever wondered what the elections mean to people beyond the US? Do you know what the implications are for the rest of the world? Do you care how the rest of us live? Is this narrow-minded hatred and self-love what your religion teaches you? Get off your high horse lady. There is more to this world than baby-making, non-working, preachers.

Then charmingly posted this response in it's place.

Hmmmm.....I didn't realize that I didn't work. Thanks for pointing that out. And as a favor to you, I will be happy to delete your ugly comment. Calling me names doesn't make your argument any more impressive.

What a shining example of God's love she is.

Except for the part where kids can stay under their parent's health insurance until their 27th birthday and that isurance companies are required to offer an annual physical without a copayment, Obamacare HAS NOT YET TAKEN EFFECT. What we have now and have had for all of Obama's first term and all of the years before that is what has been created by the Insurance Companies. The nightmare of redtape and blockade of sevices and denial of coverage that everyone with commercial insurance deals with every day is created by, admistrated by and determined by the Insurance Companies.

Insurance Companies are investment BANKS. Banks want to take your money for safe keeping, but they do not want to return it to you for personal use (healthcare). They want to keep it and use it to invest instuff that makes them more money. When you get sick, or are wirried that you may get sick, the ensurance companies try every possible way to locate a loophole in your agreement (or your emplers agreement) that will get them out of having to pay for the serivce. Once we choke the diagnostic tests out of the Insurance Companies to get your diagnosis, you now have yet another pre-existing condition. If you have employer based insurance, your coverage will only last for as long as you are employed or/and can pay the COBRA if you can no longer work. After that you become uninsurable for whatever your pre-existing condition is. (the one that made you unable to work). If you become totally disabled, then you can apply for medicare, but current laws prevent Medicare from taking affect until 12 months after you are found to be completely disabled. It can take 2 years for a disabled person to obtain that staus legally. Even more people never become declared disabled and are found able to work at a lesser job or less than full time. You know...the kind of job that has NO HEALTH benefits. All because you are sick.

Sick people ar not a good financial risk for insurance companies, so they refuse to do business with you. There is a part of Obamacare that is paritally in force for folks who have these sorts of preexisitig conditions. Some states have refused to participate. Some states have a requirment that you go without any insurance at all (remember you are already sick) for 6 months before becoming eligible to purchase a "High Risk" insurance plan. Once you qualify (and this is even in the states that fulley participate, the individual plans run from $400-700 per month.

Because we know that Investment Bankers....Insurance companies will grow the best when they do not pay taxes on all of these capital gains, the Consevative argument is that they will shar the benefit fo their success with their subscribers. How has that been working for us? You got it. They do not share it. They see the game and they hire people who can make the game play more and more in their favor.

Will the government intervention to control Satan? I mean the Insurance Companies....At first they will make everything even harder because Satan...um the Insurance Companies...will be very angry. But eventually the free market (Supply and demand....OMG Captialism!!11ty!!) will force them to compete and the cost will begin to come down.

Obamacare is forcing the Insurance companies to compete in the consumer market. He is encouraging Captalism. Instead of Capitalism working only for the big players, he is forcing it into the market place where regular people shop.

/end rant.

I have worked in healthcare and I've worked in insurance. And I just got a job as a researcher and writer for a healthcare consulting company. Yet, I would never spew anywhere near the nonsense this whiner spews. I'm self-aware enough to know that both industries are rapidly changing and adjusting to the challenges they face. And the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is just a portion of these challenges; it's not the entire challenge. And I'm thrilled my friends and family members who have pre-existing conditions will be covered under the PPACA.

And despite what some conservatives think, most of us who skew to the left do not demonize success. We demonize selfishness and greed, which Mr. Schnatter clearly demonstrates. Anyway, Papa John's pizza is rather blech to me. I'd rather go to my local mom and pop pizza joint and enjoy a pizza that is so delicious it even thrills the palates of the most discerning foodies.

My my. How did I miss this precious wisdom

Our God is a loving God, but sin is sin and God cannot look on sin when His people turn their back on Him and rebel against His Commandments. God judges the sin of His people throughout the entire Bible. Sodom and Gomorrah are a prime example. To read about the End Times the best places in the Bible are Matthew 24 and the book of Revelation. Our God is a holy God and He calls His people to live in holiness. The United States of America is in full-scale rebellion against our holy God. Even as believers and people who love God and are Christians, we all sin every day – it is the nature of “man.†But as believers we can ask our heavenly Father to forgive our sin and it is done instantly. And our intention is always to live our lives as God would have us live them. We are talking here about people who refuse to believe in God, who live immoral, rebellious lives. And this nation is at that point. And God will bring judgment as He did in Bible times. If you look back at the founding of this nation, you will find that it was totally founded on Godly principles according to the Bible. We were founded as a Christian nation. That is no longer true. “God†is deliberately being taken out of every public and now private and even Christian institutions. This is just the beginning of those judgments unless we as a nation repent of the sin of our rebellion. Barrack Obama has accelerated the downfall of this nation. God cannot tolerate homosexuality. God cannot tolerate abortion. Those are just the top two on the list of abominations of this nation.

Goodbye my dear American friends I think it's the end for you

If you want to be saved contact zachsgang blogsot for salvation.

God cannot tolerate homosexuality. God cannot tolerate abortion.

If God cannot tolerate homosexuality, why did he make so many homosexuals? And if God cannot tolerate abortion, why was he so casual about killing babies himself?

I'd like to hook her up with one of the biblically literate people I know who just happens to be a lifelong Christian and has almost completely opposite beliefs.

I think we're misunderstanding what she means by God. I don't think it has anything to do with the biblical God. I kind of suspect she's referring to herself and speaking in first person.

I still don't get it. If she thinks healthcare is such an unbiblical abomination, she can be in the world and not of the world by refusing to participate. Here Whiner, take this root for your massive infection. It's what people did in times when they were more obedient to God's holiness.

I can't believe OKTBT has actually managed to uncover an even bigger twat than Lori.

I was laid up for a while not well. I enjoy reading blogs about organised Mum's with large families which is how it happened. I do wonder if she is getting off on the attention, but I really do not care. As you said a twat is a twat.

She is now homeschooling. How marvellous she can pass her bigotry on to her progeny.

Looks like she just has the qutoe from Thomas Jefferson up now.

Except, this is not a quote from Thomas Jefferson. According to the Jefferson/Monticello website, Jefferson never said any such thing, and they nearest they can figure out is that this is from Gerald Ford.

That this has taken on the authority of "truth" is, I guess, yet another testament to the academic rigor of fundie home schooling.

Rule #1 of SOTDRT: If it's on Google or Wikipedia, it is as legit as The New Testament. (Which isn't saying much, really.)
