The conservative car I saw-

BelieveinScience

Recommended Posts

I saw this car in the parking lot where I work. Sorry its such a bad quality and has sun shining all on it. The bumper stickers say "Catherine Fayard Hates me", Bauchman for President, a blue/pink ribbon that says "life is precious", A picture of a mom and baby that says "We love them both choose life" and then a romney bumper sticker.

The only thing i'll give a pass on that car is the blue and pink ribbon- that's for infant loss.

https://www.google.com/search?q=infant+ ... 92&bih=461

Everything else? YEAHNO

I often see cars around here that say "pregnant? need help?" And I was always tempted to call them on one of the days my son was bouncing off the walls and say "Yeah, i need help around here. I need someone to watch the older kid while I take a nap. What? that's not the help you give?"

The other one I'm seeing a lot of is "protect religious freedom" and I want to tape a note to their windshield saying "that phrase does not mean what you think it means". Its usually on cars with "abortion is MURDER" and "CHOOSE LIFE"

You totally should!

This is the first bauchman bumper sticker I have ever seen.

It also had stickers up both sides but there were so many people around and i didnt want people watching me so I didn't see what they said.

What is with the bumper sticker thing? Not a huge thing here. You do get the 'Baby on board thing' which makes my blood boil. I have no desire to kill anybody on the road, whether they have a baby in the car or not. I can see no point in it. But the political thing? That is very strange and weird to me. Only sticker I have is my tax-disk and a small National Trust thing which gets us into national parks etc. But it is about 3 by 4cm.

Oh, God, I can't stand the "religious freedom" bumper stickers and signs.

In a yard in my neighborhood, two signs: Romney and "Pray and Vote." (There are entirely too many Romney signs here for my comfort. Fortunately, there are a lot of Obama signs, too.)

On a car with one of the teabagger-themed license plates my state offers (yes, really): XS GOV. The irony of the driver being allowed by the state to have a license plate condemning excess gov't was not lost on me.

"Baby on Board.... in lieu of airbag"? :)

I always have to laugh at "Baby On Board" because I remember in the late 80's when I was in high school, riding the train in Tokyo and some fairly tough looking high-school or freshly out sort of age, teenager tough guy in all the carefully roughed up clothing, was wearing a big yellow sweatshirt that said "Baby On Board" with the logo like those car stickers that were popular. I mean, what, it's English and it was a popular slogan I guess, but...? Surely you should be pregnant to wear that!!

Like Marge Simpson said "Now people will stop intentionally ramming our car!"

There's ones where I live that say "Pray to End Abortion," which makes me think, fine, good, if that's all you are doing to end it, I guess that's ok. If you are voting to block women from getting them, protesting clinics, offering anti-abortion "counseling," etc, that's not ok. And really, if you want to end abortion so much, you should be doing your damnest to make birth control easy to get and affordable for anyone and everyone that wants it, instead of just praying.

I live in a state where residents can actually buy "Choose Life" license plates- and the proceeds go to anti-choice Crisis Pregnancy Centers!

I flip those drivers the bird every time I see one.

And gardenvarietycitizen...too funny.

I get that people are happy to have a baby and proudly so. I don't have a problem with that. But the signs just annoy me. Grandchildren on board. Mum's taxi (fuck off)

I don't care. I really don't. Whatever you decide to put on your car will not affect my desire to drive safely anyway. The fact they put these things on their cars makes me think, THEY think it somehow increases their safety.

I am likely to ram somebody with a stupid political affiliation, but as I said not a very common thing here. That added to the fact I changed my car from a Landrover to a teeny, weeny, wee cool car I love. But would not make for political ramming

My Hero! There was a women in my home town when I was in high school who drove around in a huge SUV with an vanity plate that said "His Rib." Ugh, so annoying. My younger sister used to flip her off every time we saw her!

The "Choose Life," "Baby on Board," stick figure families, don't engage me as much as the designed to be offensive ones such as "Where's your hope and change?" "NoBama" "Obamacare = socialism" confederate flags, "If you still support Obama, you are stupid," "You are not entitled to my taxes" "Fire Obama"etc.

we don't have a lot of that here in Portland. beam me up Jesus is a good one. But I hate the baby on board signs ad watch that driver fly through a red light or speed or do some other shitty driving violation with that baby on board. those are the ones iwant to thump on the head and take their drivers licenses away.

This reminds me of the crazy Christine family down the street-- their two cars are both slathered in bumper stickers. There are so many, you cannot possibly read them all. The funniest thing to me is the lawn signs; I wish I had taken pictures because they cycled through the candidates. First it was "Christian Family for Cain" and we he dropped out that was replaced with "We Love Huckabee" followed by "Santorum for President." Now they are stuck with "Romney/Ryan" and it is a small sign so I don't believe their hearts are in it. We'll see how long that stays up because their "McCain Palin" lawn sign stayed up for years-- I always thought they were bitter losers and just wanted to remind everyone in the neighborhood that they did not vote for Obama.

The only thing I ever voluntarily put on my car was the magnetic oval: Obama/Biden. That was for the 2008 campaign and I eventually took it off and it is still stuck on my refrigerator.

There is a car in my town that has a lot of radically conservative stickers on it. Well, actually, there are several....but this one is a lime green VW bug. One of the nice new ones. Every time I see it I think "WHAT is the world coming to when the quintessential peace n love, liberal "hippy" cars are being driven by right wing extremists???"

And yes, I know they are thought to have been designed by Hitler. They still represent the free love generation.....the generation of "Our Bodies, Ourselves" etc., to me and so it's disturbing for me to see a Romney sticker, a Tea Party sticker and an anti choice sticker on the back of one.

I had an Obama/Biden sticker on our car too and somone left me a note on my windshield saying something to the effect of "my car has been vandalized by someone putting the sticker on my car and that I shouldn't drive around with it because I look like a dumbass" or something to that nature. Pissed me off.

We don't get too many political bumper stickers around here. Most of the bumper stickers I see are more likely to be the funny ones ("My other car is a bicycle/tardis/unicorn/flying motorcycle/whatever.") or the "My child is an honor student at XYZ high school" ones. We do have a car that I believe is known as the "God Bless America Car" because it is absolutely plastered in signs, stickers, and flags and on top there's a big sign (sort of like the ones they put on student driver cars) that says "God Bless America." It's possible that the owner also drives around with a megaphone yelling about how America is a Christian nation, but I could be getting him confused with someone else.

In Greece it's been all the rage to slap a laminate on an illegally parked car. The laminate has the outline of a donkey and says "I Parked In This Spot Because I Am An Ass". People carry them around in purses or briefcases to put on a car as the necessity arises.

For the longest time my dad kept "My Kid and All My Money Go To X University, Of Course This Is A Piece of Shit!" stickers on his clunkers.

For many years I had "My Other Car Is A Broom" because I liked it.

Today I saw a split sticker. On the left is Romney's face and the caption is "Mitt......Created 100,000 New Job In China. The right side just says "Obama-Biden 2012"

Over the weekend, I saw a car with an Autobot decal on the hood. I wish I'd taken a picture because it was pretty sweet.

Oh man I wish I had the grecian stickers. There was one day, 9 months pregnant with the toddler with me, when I went to visit my husband at work (this was when he was working 2 jobs total 80 hours a week (2nd job was supposed to be part time but they kept scheduling him the hours and threatening to fire him if he didn't work them)I pulled into the parking garage and what was in the "expectant mother's only" spot? but a bright red crotch rocket motorcycle.
