I think these young mother lives would have gone exponentially better had they (and their children) not become MTV's cash cows. MTV made many more dollars off them then they will ever earn. They each got a few hundred thou but what is it worth if their lives were ruined?

I'm so sickened by Farrah. When they get pregnant at that age and their families are a little off I feel sorry for them. But then after watching Farrah on the show after her initial episode, she's nothing but a spoiled, entitled, brat. She is quoted on TMZ saying she made the porno to document what her body looks like while she's still young. She also said that she regretted shooting the video with that guy and wishes she could have shot it with her boyfriend Derek (who sadly passed away a few years ago). Then she goes on to say she wants to sell the video but "for nothing less than a couple million." Really? Think of all the girls who watch the show and now they think its ok to shoot a porn since Farrah from Teen Mom done it!

Apparently Farrah told Howard Stern that she masturbates to her own porno. Apart from it being incredibly odd and inappropriate to discuss that on air, that is mind blowingly narcissistic and weird.

Poor little Sophia. The other teen moms generally seem to love their kids, even though they often make very poor decisions. Farrah just doesn't ever seem warm and loving with Sophia, she's always quite distant and doesn't seem to make an effort to relate to Sophia on her level. I'm sure she spanks when the cameras aren't there. She may be doing a better job providing materially than some of the other moms, but she doesn't seem to be giving Sophia much love and stability or making her happiness a priority.

And the whole Derek thing is delusional. They were broken up when he died and she was refusing to speak to him. She and her mother had no intention of allowing him to be part of Sophia's life, and Farrah playing the widowed martyr and pretending that Derek was the love of her life and they would have lived happily ever after is laughable. They would have the usual dysfunctional teen mom/baby daddy relationship we see with the other couples on the show, possible even worse cause Farrah is incredibly selfish and self righteous and comes from a highly dysfunctional family herself.

I actually kinda-sorta liked Farrah because she finished college, even if it was trade school college. Amber is in prison, Maci is raising her son part time but nothing else, Caitlyn is doing absolutely nothing, Jenelle is doing drugs and in and out of jail while her mom raises her kid, Leah is on her second marriage and third baby, Cailyn is on her second baby and first husband after dropping out of dental hygiene school to pursue being a receptionist and Chelsea...well, she's a good mom and finished her GED and is in hair school. Finally. So, by comparison, for awhile there, Farrah was the rising star. She sure fell fast.

I don't really remember... I think they had too many speech opportunities and going on VH1 and such. Oh, and he decided he wanted to be an actor instead.

Didn't Brandon and Theresa make continuing their education a condition of keeping the adoption open? They've been trying to close it more and more anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if they use Cate and Tyler dropping out as a reason to close it totally.
