I'm not seeing it either. A worrying development, if it's in reaction to discussion here. Still, I have hope that Elizabeth remembers that life was pretty OK before they went hardcore fundie, and that's why she couldn't ignore the nagging doubt that marrying Joseph was a terrible idea.

If you look on the right side (scroll down a bit), there's a Blog Archive. Click on 2008, then click on March and you'll see one of the earlier posts for that month says HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIZABETH. Still there.

Doesn't work for me either. Guess they still aspire to be hardcore fundie, and don't want future courting prospects to see how much more liberal they used to be. Definitely haven't given up on the fundie social climber thing after the Maxwell fiasco. Still, even if they remove the pictures Elizabeth will remember, and I'm confident she won't go into an uber fundie courtship. I don't have much hope for her to move past fundie lite, but anything is better than being a Maxwell.

I just looked and it's there.

Since she escaped being a cult member by the skin of her teeth, hopefully those four year old memories will be able to guide her decisions about life and husbands in the future.

I wonder if she thinks about what it would be like if she hadn't canceled it..you know, like now that they're on the fall dog & pony tour? Does she stop and think "I'd be on stage right now, wearing a skirt that matches my sisters & mother-in-law's, telling everyone that my marriage is godly and divinely inspired and it's all because of the supreme leader...er, um, my father-in-law, Mr. Maxwell".

These people were irresponsibly over breeding and under educating their blessings way before they met Steve Maxwell. They like bright colors and are going for a higher earning Vision Forum groom. Big deal. That girl will still be trapped with no options in a few years.
