Wonder if anyone else heard about this. I'm trying to figure out if I want to hit up a Starbucks before class on Tuesday, the closest one to me is at a college bookstore and then a shopping mall. I don't know how the company would measure revenue for that day, so I'm leaning more towards the store in the mall opposed to the bookstore.

NIKE! LOL!!!!

I think Target has reformed itself, from what I understand?

If Target is anything like the corporation I used to work for, local Managers had the say in where their charity moneys went and I had assumed that was what happened in this instance for Target, because overall their seem very pro LGBT :-)

I'm also questioning this list. Didn't Southwest Airlines allegedly kick Leisha Hailey and her girlfriend off a plane for kissing? I remember someone saying something about Southwest being a 'family-friendly' airline.

Didn't Target just recently have a same-gender couple in one of their ads?

I've been meaning to make a trip to JCP again soon for end of summer sales - Tuesday is a great day to do it.

And it's only been about a year since they donated to anti-gay movements. If they want to redeem themselves, they need to put in the time as well.

How long? I think featuring a same sex couple in an ad about marriage is great and I'm happy to vote with my dollars and tell them I appreciate it. I guess I don't really understand withholding support for their change of policy?

I don't think Target has a policy-it must go by the store, as to who gets the money. I've seen: conservatives complain they're donating money to gay-friendly causes, conservatives praise them for donating to anti-gay causes, gays complain they are donating to anti-gay causes, and gays praising them for donating to gay-friendly causes.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation

If you'd rather give money to nonprofit vs a corporation you might want to donate to equality Maryland or equal rights Washington. Both states have marriage equality referendums on their ballot in November and would like to be the first staes to pass marriage rights by a popular vote.
