What's that on Michelle's Arm?

It could be a smallpox vaccine. I know they don't believe in vaccinations, but they would need that one for "mission trips".

They would? When smallpox really is eradicated, unlike polio-measles-mumps-rubella-chickenpox-rotovirus-whooping cough-influenza-AIDS? I wasn't aware you could even get that vaccine anymore.

My ex had the smallpox vaccine when he went to Afghanistan. The sore it leaves is nasty. It looks like blue mold is growing on your arm.

The vaccine isn't available to the general public. It's reserved for military service members and those working with smallpox in labs.

there'sa difference between not doing chicken pox and not believing in any vaccinations. Chicken pox might be recommended in Canada and the US, it's not in most European countries....

Apparently chickenpox vaccine isn't legal in the UK....

It's a weird place to get a cut. And her arms look like my grandma's did. We are talking a lack of hormones here. Specifically, baby making ones.

Just my thoughts...

do you mean her hands/wrists? I notices that too, but that might just be age/sun exposure and rapid weight loss...

I don't think that it's a birth control patch (but wouldn't it be amusing if indeed that's what it was)...but I'm pretty sure that there are patches for medication to control high blood pressure and also for migraines. We know she had issues with her blood pressure before in pregnancy, and unless she's got a serious back problem, it's not likely to be a fentanyl patch.

Physically Michelle has to be one hot mess after all those pregnancies. Add to that the resultant bone loss and a crappy diet. I predict menopause will be hell for her. She'll likely continue to eat crap food that will put weight on her already weakened bones and only get on the treadmill when the cameraman asks her.

My guess by looking at it was maybe some sort of mole/cyst removed. I have spent too much time in the hospital (being married to a dr and as a patient) and I dont know of any hormone/pain patch worn there. I don't think I have ever seen shots that require that type of bandage over a long period of time. Even if she got a welt like some people get from a tetnus booster, I don't know anyone who got a large bandage like that.

Because of the raised portion in the middle my guess is there was some fluid (blood/pus/drainage). It just reminds me of the bandage when I had a small mole removed on my upper shoulder.

it might be the compartment where the batteries go.

Michelle is definitely not wearing a birth control patch. Having been on that before, it looks nothing like what's on Michelle's arm. It's much smaller and lighter-colored. It would stick out SO much on Michelle's arm, it did on much paler (and more private) regions of my body.

It looks like a large bandage to me, not like Spanx or any undershirt. The shirt is modest enough by Duggar standards to not require a short-sleeved shirt underneath. As for what it could actually be, I have no idea. That would have to be one hell of a cut or vax sore, and I can't think of a vax that would leave a mark like that (not even that TDaP shot I had 2 years ago that left my arm sore for a month).

Those are the best kind, I find.

People do get cysts in their underarm area. That could explain it. I like to think it was implanon, though.

Agreed. Much cheaper to maintain and more... erm... efficient ;)

And this kind of stuff makes much more sense when you're talking about a battery powered headship:

- I believe in you!

- I am so proud of you!

- You’ve got this!

- You did a great job!

- You’ll do a great job!

- I LOVE being your girl!

- I’m so happy here with you.

- I can’t wait to see you!

- You have amazing ideas.

- Thank you!

- Thanks for taking such good care of me.

Yay! I loved this whole discussion, and also came to the realization that, of course, Michelle and her ilk are Stepford wives! However, embarrassingly for me, what came to mind before that was the image of the child robot from the show "Small Wonder" that aired when I was little (I believe that she had an AC input in one arm). Battery powered headships? Is that like the Gothardite answer to this?
