Bandage. I'm going with hormonal shot, covered by bigass bandage so she can claim injury or some shit. Not an HRT (menopause) patch, I can tell that much. If it was a regular vaccine, I doubt she'd cover it. Hormonal shots can bruise up like a mofo. Just my paranoid opinion.

They don't use motion sickness patches for hyperemesis (severe pregnancy-related nausea). I had mild hyperemesis and was on Zofran in pill form. Women with severe hyperemesis can be on an IV pump. Besides, motion sickness patches are small, round, and go behind the ear, not on the arm.

The only sort of hormone patch that I know of would be the birth control patch; I was on it for a year right when it came out and I either wore it on my upper arm or my back. We know Michelle isn't using that, though! She would be on the young side for menopause but it could happen - don't they use patches for menopausal hormone replacement therapy? I think they do far less HRT now, though, so I have no clue.

The women I know IRL who've had to take progesterone to support a pregnancy took it in pills, suppositories, or shots - never patches.

I think it's likely that she had some minor surgical procedure or an injury and is wearing a bandage.

when I had a mole removed when I was a teenager they slapped a big old bandage on it, about that size, so it could just be something like that.

I'm not a big fan of Michelle, but I really hope that's not the case. Abuse however would explain why someone might go along with that sort of lifestyle. A few times on the show I've seen hints that Michelle doesn't always agree with Jim Bob and may even think he's a bit of a dim bulb or an over grown child. Maybe he handles his wife getting mouthy or not submitting enough the same way he handled Josiah not being thrilled about Jubilee.

I hope this isn't some type of hormone therapy in an attempt to have more kids the problem probably isn't hormonal, but more likely a uterus too scarred and thinned from too many pregnancies.

I'd hope that with 19 kids, Michelle would actually do the right thing by her brood and protect them from Jim Boob. Maybe that is why Grandma has stayed, to protect her grandkids. I always thought Jim Boob would be a bit of a hothead behind closed doors.

I wonder if it's just an ugly flesh-colored "modesty shirt." Do these people EVER wear only one shirt? It's too big to be a patch and even looks too big to be a bandage - it appears to wrap around the arm like a sleeve on an undershirt would.

Now that I look a little closer I think you might be right-- there appears to be a matching flesh-colored strip on the other arm. So it is some sort of undergarment.

Tale a look at her making 'Cream Brooly' (H/T: FJ FB) and judge for yourself. It's close the the sleeve on the arm with the ugly watch she uses for academic punishment,.

Maybe that is the real reason wear continues that ugly watch! I recall an episode where the children gave her a new watch; maybe she only wears that one on dates with JB.

It reminds me of those dolls that have plastic hands, legs, and head, but the trunk is made of fabric with soft stuffing. It would be plausible if she wasn't spewing all those babies.
