    Home Sick Candles

I keep seeing this on my FB feed. Does it mean I watched a little too much Mystery Science Theater 3000 if every time I see this I start wondering if Wisconsin candles smell of beer sweat? (H/T The Giant Spider Invasion).
  2. The man who prompted school lockdowns in Wisconsin and Illinois has finally been captured. kcrg.com/content/news/Wisconsin-police-investigating-letter-threatening-Easter-church-attacks-419465594.html
  3. I swear every story coming out about Wisconsin lately is full on crazy. This came across my facebook feed today. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/05/15/wisconsin-gop-passes-bill-banning-poor-people-from-buying-shellfish-potatoes-and-ketchup/ Quotes from the article: According to some state rep (republican natch) they are doing it to "make poor people healthier." This is clearly utter bullshit when you look at the list (and the full list makes it even more apparent). No brown eggs or cage-free, free range? No organic or natural? In the tuna section in the full list it includes no low or reduced sodium varieties. I guess if you are lactose intolerant you are just fucked because no almond, rice, soy or goat milk. This is DISGUSTING! What they are really saying is people on assistance don't deserve "fancy" varieties of food that might cost a little more, but are likely more healthy. I personally don't think organic is worth it, but that's just my opinion. However, natural products (no/less preservatives) are something I look for. Oh in the peanut butter on the full list no reduced fat or natural, etc.
  4. A shooting at a Wisconsin mall resulted from a dispute among several young men. THank goodness it wasn't worse, but I could imagine the fear when shots got fired..One shopper reported they ran into the nearest store. When will people learn to handle things without violence? http://news.yahoo.com/gunfire-erupts-inside-wisconsin-mall-busy-shopping-day-230747638.html
  5. A man up in Lancaster, Wisconsin (about an hour's drive from me) was found guilty of beating another man, causing some rather serious injuries. Riley admitted that he said some things he probably shouldn't have. Then there was this line in the story that really stood out to me... Is that a thing now in Wisconsin?
  6. Slimeball dad of the year. Man who is a big time donor to several Wisconsin Republicans has been revealed to have been the driving force behind a bill that would limit the financial responsibilities of fathers paying child support. Well, I'm sure this guy could actually pay for his kids if he wasn't donated tens of thousands of dollars to politicians. http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/wealthy-divorced-donor-helped-write-controversial-child-support-bill/article_b3e3ed40-738a-52ea-bbf9-04d03cfa0e18.html

    Wisconsin group wants Jesus gone

An atheist group from WI is targeting a Jesus statue in MT that has been there as a WWII memorial since the 50's. I personally don't care too much about the statue (i didn't even know about it until a friend posted this on FB) but I do have a problem with a group from WI coming into my home state and trying to tell us what to do. www.theblaze.com/stories/obey-the-const ... us-statue/
