Voddie Baucham takes a turn driving the Wambulance of Christian Persecution
hoipolloi posted a topic in Quiver Full of Snark
Voddie Baucham, Jr., erstwhile BFF of Doug Phillips & enthusiastic patriarse, is on the publicity trail for his new book He has previously taken the white Christian nationalist position with regard to racism and social justice, as in his dreadful commentary on Michael Brown's death in 2014, in which Baucham blames Brown for his own death. Now, he's devoted a whole book to his views and, as you might imagine, the white Christian nationalist crowd are eating it up. Here's an op-ed he published in the New York Post (America's answer to the UK's Daily Fail? Minor recaps: First, archived FJ threads have a lot of info on Voddie through the years he's been on the fundie scene. Voddie, his wife & 7 younger children relocated to Zambia some years ago when he took a job with African Christian University. He was diagnosed with serious heart problems earlier this year which could only be treated in the US. His recent heart surgery -- discussed intermittently in the current Geoff Botkin thread -- apparently went well. Since, AFAIK, he did not require a heart transplant, as had been thought possible, it looks like he still retains a significant chunk of change from the GoFundMe created for his medical treatment. In contrast to Voddie's contempt for BLM and concepts like CRT, his daughter, Jasmine Holmes, and her husband, Phillip Holmes, have become articulate proponents of racial justice in evangelical spaces. She uses her public instagram feed to present historical data to back up her statements about the racist roots throughout much of white evangelical Christianity. Not surprisingly, many of her fundie readers do not like this & push back. -
Voddie Baucham's new website for the move to Africa
hoipolloi posted a topic in Voddie & Jasmine Baucham
He plans to move himself, wife Bridget, and their seven younger children there by the end of summer 2016 (launchthemove.com/). Looks like that leaves Trey (a.k.a. Voddie III), the second-oldest after Jasmine, footloose & fancy free back in TX. Perhaps one should give him credit for thinking ahead, instead of taking the Shrader approach. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to hear the thoughts of those FJ-ers who live/have lived in/know about Zambia. -

6 Things You Should Know About Voddie Baucham
notsocommon posted a topic in Voddie & Jasmine Baucham
Homeschool annon has a great break down of all that is wrong with Voddie. Ok, only 6 things, but it is a start. https://homeschoolersanonymous.wordpres ... e-baucham/ -
It's Voddie as in "roadie"! Or, harking back to Winchester Cathedral, "A-voddie-oh-doh, a voddie-oh-doh..." (give it up for The New Vaudeville Band, !!!!) I don't know why, finding that out just tickles me beyond all belief. That is all! (Fpr now.)

I saw this link posted over on daddy Voddie's public FB page. Ironically enough, Jennie Chancey commented with a "Well done!" cbmw.org/women/womanhood/five-lessons-you-didnt-learn-in-that-break-up/ What we can gather from Jasmine is that while she still lives at home, she is working as a sixth grade teacher in a Houston school, and is pursing a Master's in Religion. She also has a break-up of some sort under her belt. I guess the courtship did not lead to marriage. Could Jasmine be starting to spread her wings?

I've been a lurker here for quite a while, but have only posted a couple of times so far. I just had an 'AAARRRRRGGGGG' moment when I found out that a young person I know is a 'Pastoral Intern' at a fundie church not far from me, and he is promoting a visit by Voddie Baugham Jr, scheduled for mid-April. I'd love to be able to go and observe, but I really, REALLY don't want this young man being able to identify me … which he would easily be able to because of our common interest.

This time the baby was born in Georgia. He is just a couple days old (was born Feb, 29th). They are waiting to clear ICPC and then they will bring Amos Emmanuel Baucham home. He was born in Atlanta, GA. Who lets him have these kids? I am so pissed. Nothing like sending a lamb to the slaughter.

http://americanvisionnews.com/1278/vodd ... y-ron-paul Is this the same Voddie? I didn't see anything about Vision Forum on his website but I'll admit to more familiarity and interest with ATI than VF.

http://web.me.com/voddieb/vbm/Blog/Entr ... r_Gal.html I was getting a bit excited that he was more open minded than I thought. Sigh. I was wrong So, women can work for their husbands and fathers-probably without pay-but not for anyone else. Allister Begg is an idiot. So my dental hygienist who talks endlessly about the child that she gave birth to is not a mother? Um....that is the stupidest thing that I have ever heard. Lots of women who choose to work do not have nannies either. The Proverbs woman had servants. I don't think that she took all her children with her to buy and sell the fields. Chances are a relative are servant was taking care of her kids. Of course, she didn't punch a clock. No one did in the Old Testament times. That doesn't mean that the people did not work.

I've been reading abt the vision forum camp and its adherents for hours tonight. Since Voddie Bachman is black how did he get in this movement and will his children find mates among other vision forum people since many of the books vision forum sells are anti any other skin color than white? This may have been discussed already, I'm pretty new to the forum.

Who in their right mind is allowing Voddie Bauchman to adopt another child?? The adoption is to be finalized tomorrow for a baby girl named Safya. When will they stop allowing a known (and vocal) child abuser to adopt??
