    Supernatural Season 14

Supernatural peeps? Anybody? If you're out there, get in here! Supernatural is back for its 14th season! Spoilers below! The season opener, for me, hovered at "okay" with a bit of "meh." I have almost infinite patience for the show, though, and am hoping that this exposition episode sets the scene for some better action later on. Dean as Michael: cool to see a different character by Jensen, but the cold, emotionless expression could get boring quickly. And I'm already over the Peaky Blinders outfit. I like Jensen in his flannels! There were actually very few scenes with Michael/Dean, and they were a bit dry. I'm a Dean girl, so I'm biased. Sam: much more fun to watch in this episode. He's leading the hunters from the other universe, and fighting exhaustion and despair. The crowning moment of awesome was when he stabbed Kip and announced to the assembled demons that "There will be. No. New. King of Hell!" Whereupon the demons vacated their vessels. No "exorcizamus te, omnis immundus...": demons fear Sam Winchester so much that he tells them to "get out" and they do it. Super cool. Castiel: poor Misha, wouldn't the writers even allow you to throw a punch? My Chuck, your only role was to get beaten to a pulp. Jack: learning to accept life in a weakened condition, taking boxing lessons from AU Bobby, and struggling with feeling useless since his grace was drained by Lucifer. And speaking of Lucifer... His vessel is alive. Welcome back, Nick, vessel of Beelzebub since Season 4! He's on lockdown in the bunker, his bed set on top of a demon trap just in case. He tells Sam that he can't understand why he's alive, and Sam says maybe it's because the angel blade is meant to kill the angel inside the human, not the human body itself. (Foreshadowing?) And there's Mary, kicking ass and taking names and keeping the faith that Dean is alive and that they'll find him. I still think Mary should have stayed dead, but I'm not as annoyed by her as I was last season. She seems to be making a place for herself, and the Bobby/Mary thing is totally going to happen, haha. (Slashfic names: Mobby? Bary? Sinchester?) In the last few minutes, Sam gets a lead from Sister Jo as to Dean's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Michael has found a creature of pure desire, somebody he deems worthy of survival. He's done with beaten-down angels and weak humans. He's about to create a new world order.
  2. The trailer just dropped today; Looking forward to 07/16.

    Star Trek Discovery

I just finished watching the first part of season 1 of Star Trek Discovery and I am in LOVE. It feels like no other Star Trek series before, it's dark and gritty and realistic. There will be no reset button or self contained episodes here. I've noticed three firsts so far - the word fuck, same sex kiss, and nudity. Whoever was holding them back is clearly out of the way now. A lot of people are hating on it because it's a different feel than other series without evaluating it on its own merits. I personally think it's absolutely amazing.

    Married At First Sight

What does everyone think about Married at First Sight? I kinda find it strange. Especially after seeing the second season I would never do it. That season scared me.

    Better Call Saul

Anyone else watch Better Call Saul? I'm usually not into spin-offs or prequels, but I like this show a lot more than Breaking Bad. While I was interested enough in the storyline of B.B. to watch it at the end, I wasn't really engaged with it the same way I am with B.C.S. If it weren't for me having to work early-ish on Mondays, I would stay up to watch it (I live in Europe, so it's really late/early when it gets put online) Unlike other shows I was into from the beginning, like Big Bang Theory, B.C.S. seems to get better with time. Jimmy really is a character I have grown to love over time. As for his brother, I did feel sympathy towards him at first, but now I'm really hoping he gets screwed over hard

    Humans back for season 2

Anyone here watch Humans on Channel 4 last year? It was really good and they're putting series 2 up soon. This was in the UK but was it on in the US too?
  7. Maggie Mae

    Stranger Things on Netflix

Anyone else watching this? It's a Netflix original. I love the 80s movie feeling. It's weird though. I don't know what to think about the actual plot. It's also so weird to see Winona Ryder playing a mom.
  8. What a crazy show really gobs of everything crazy from 13 year old polygamous wives with a child gays trans sexuals teen pregnancy sex and more sex gobs of law breaking horrible dad fake gays hit and runs selling your kid and so much more. hard to believe all the crazy in one show.
  9. I cut out some of the props for the show when I cut them they are kind of boring just plain but when special effects are done with them they look far better. the librarians is aimed here in portland and this show that I did the work on was filed at omsk close to my shop. so the first pics are the gears when I am done with them. the rest are from the show.

    Wrecked on TBS

This is a new show starting soon on TBS on Tuesdays.... appears to be fairly amusing comedy about a planeload of passengers who have crash-landed on an island. Previews look good. Anyone seen this yet?

The Man in the High Castle

Is anyone watching this? It's an Amazon original series, and the entire first season is now up for streaming. It's based on the Phillip K. Dick alternative history/sci-fi novel that takes as its starting point how the US would look if they had *not* won WWII. We just watched the final episode in Season 1 (Season 2 will be up sometime later this year--they did renew it for one more), and have really enjoyed it. Anyway, I'm dying to discuss theories if anyone else watches/has watched it! Just make sure spoilers are under spoiler tags.
