    Iowa family dead in Mexico

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/03/23/iowa-family-four-that-went-missing-in-mexico-found-dead.html Yes, it is from Faux. What got me were the comments on this article... people who have never left the US, making all sorts of claims. The racism and hatred in these comments made me... well, close the article and come here. I just went to a similar place in Mexico, not too far from Tulum, in a freakin' wheelchair. Alone. I felt safe. I was safe, for the most part. If there was no "foul play" in this situation, as the article stated, there are many, many other possibilities why this family perished. The truth will come out.

    DC Bible Museum

Steve Green (president of Hobby Lobby) is planning to build a huge bible museum two blocks away from the mall that will open in 2017 (Smuggar is probably very excited). It will “bring to life the living word of God ... to inspire confidence in the absolute authorityâ€. He also "wanted to hand out Bible tracts to visitors, who would exit the museum singing 'Amazing Grace' ". However, he claims people of all faiths are welcome and he wants to take a scholarly approach to the Bible. I don't really know how he can combine those two things. This sounds like a very bad mix of religion and education. Does he really think that the average tourist will go there and become a Christian after going through this museum? Here's a long Washington Post article about it: http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle ... story.html

The Jerusalem Syndrome: Why Some Religious Tourists Believe They Are the Messiah http://www.wired.com/magazine/2012/02/f ... rome/all/1 (searched, didn't find this; apologies if it's been posted already)
  4. Interesting article. Using tourism to generate awarness of the community. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/28/in-brooklyn-a-hasidic-walking-tour-opens-ultra-orthodox-jewish-life-to-outsiders/
