  1. Scottish Finance Secretary, Derek Mackay was forced to resign on the day he was due to do the government's budget. The boy's mother sent the messages to the Scottish Sun newspaper and last night he after being aware of the allegations he was suspended from the SNP and resigned from his post forcing, leaving MSP Kate Forbes to deliver the budget last minute with little preparation. While he can be expelled from the pary, unless he stand's down from his seat he will still be an MSP. 16 is the age of consent in the UK but the explicit messages include him constantly telling the boy he is cu
  2. So, we now have an announcement that there will probably be a vote in the "latter half of next year". I hope that this time people aren't swayed by the dumbing down of Scotland as a country. We are not just some tiny, quaint little amusement park for the English upper classes, we have a long history of innovation and a world-class education system. Few of us voted for this mess, almost no one voted for the return of racism and the continuation of sectarianism. Literally no one is happy with imposed poverty coming from Westminster. I hope we don't fuck it up this time around.
  3. So, today the Scottish Parliament voted to, once again, hold a referendum on leaving the UK. Given that all their promises last time round (guaranteed EU membership, more devolution etc) have been proven to be a load of bollocks most people could see this coming. Of course Westminster is going to try and delay this with the usual crap arguments. They want to keep us in as long as they can, so have been stalling the Scottish politicians but really I think they will fail. Given that several members of the Tories are on record saying they want to undo devolution completely, that Scotland vot

    Whatever happened to...

If this isn't the way to do this, I humbly accept the imminent handswat. Talk of Scottish "Free Presbyterians" elsewhere reminds me of a woman who emigrated from the USA to the Scottish Hebrides to become a submissive farm wife. She was a staunch Roman Catholic and fairly candid about her husband's bad attitude in the early years. IIRC she'd had 2 children. Cannot for the life of me remember her name nor blog, but am curious how she's doing (I hope she's doing well; couldn't help but like the character)! Anybody? TIA!
  5. I just realized that the Hodnetts are about to inflict their vile presence on Scotland. Specifically Glasgow, if @Glasgowghirl wants to keep her eyes peeled for them. I think they need their own thread because they are quite disgusting, but we can also use this thread to discuss other missionaries to Scotland and Europe in general. I haven't checked up on most of my pet hates recently. The Hodnetts plan to leave the USA on October 13th, and are doing some last minute grifting for things like Visas, a shipping container, and set-up cash. They are still waiting for a sponsor for the
  6. Any other folks from Haggis Country on here watch the new Still Game series? I know I'm pretty late to the party but just finished watching it now. Also any people from other places that watch it? I'm told in London they show it with subtitles but maybe this is an urban myth.
  7. Saw this on CNN where Scotland now has the NC500 and CNN thinks it'll become a classic; cnn.com/2016/06/13/travel/scotland-north-coast-road-trip-nc500/index.html Getting out the ol' bucket list database and adding an entry to it right now....
  8. Muirfield Golf Club in Scotland has voted against allowing women to be members women are only allowed to play as guests as a result the will no longer be allowed to host Open championships. It shocking in this day and age women are still not treated equally and even worse considering that Scotlands First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is a woman and the other two main party leaders Kezia Dugdale and Ruth Davidson are women. So you can be a woman and run a country but you can't join a golf club
  9. Do my eyes deceive or is Jim Bob dancing in the World Tour video? I got to see it on You Tube. http://duggarswatch.blogspot.com/2011/1 ... gland.html
  10. I was taking a look at the Dugger's World Tour in Scotland and I can't help laugh seeing Jimbob walk up to that guy and ask him about his faith background they look shocked when said he said he didn't have one.Who would think to be walking around in Scotland asking people about their faith background.I also got a good laugh out one of the kids saying they spoke a another language cause thats the way god made them. They better be careful walking around in some of these countries asking people about their faith background they could end up in jail
  11. (Sorry for any errors or if I can't check back on this- my wifi is spotty but I have to share!) I'm spending a few days layover in Edinburgh and who do I stubble across but the Duggars! Not just in the same city, but the same hotel! I'm tagging along on Mr. Moose's business trip which has required me to be functional in 5 time zones in the past two weeks (a tall order) and this entire thing felt like a bit of a fever dream. We're staying at this little hotel down by the Parliament building, about a block off the Royal Mile. It comes with a kitchen (great for making tatt
