This Man of God has come to my attention due to Aretha Franklin's funeral in which he groped Ariana Grande's breast. He made a "sorry if you got offended" nonapology and said it wasn't his intention to grope her breast. But he's on video squeezing her breast and he's a grown adult male, he knows where a woman's breasts are. http://time.com/5384940/bishop-apologizes-ariana-grande-aretha-franklin-funeral/ This is his twitter. https://twitter.com/bishopche3 According to wiki he's a Pentecostal. Just wondering if there's any more dirt about him or his church because there's no way some light little sexual assault in front of TV cameras to enliven a funeral is anyone's first foray into perversion and misogyny. here's him either preaching or suffocating in 2013
  3. So after they starved him they thought god would bring him back. the evil in this act is amazing. http://www.salon.com/2015/04/14/this_is ... socialflow On March 26, Texas police responded to an anonymous tip claiming that a 2-year-old boy had died from starvation almost one week earlier. Instead of seeking medical help, the tipster claimed that the toddler’s guardians had taken him to a service at Congregacional Pueblo de Dios where they attempted to perform a “rising ceremony†to bring him back to life, thinking he was possessed by demons. A video has since surfaced of Aracely Meza, the church’s secretary, praying and chanting over the child’s dead body. When the ceremony fails, she can be seen crying over the boy. After the ceremony, the parents reportedly wrapped the child in a blanket and took him to Mexico for burial. Meza, who is not related to the toddler, has since been arrested and charged with injury to a child by omission. The child’s parents have not been located. NBC News’ M. Alex Johnson reports: Congregacional Pueblo De Dios, which was formed in 2007, is affiliated with the Hispanic Conference of the Congregational Holiness Church, a Pentecostal denomination based in Griffin, Georgia. The evangelical denomination was created by a schism in the Pentecostal movement in the 1920s.
  4. I'm just wondering what you all think of the Apostolic/Pentecostal faith in general. It's fairly common in the Midwest, but for those unfamiliar with the faith, I'll attempt to summarize: It's a sect of Christianity centered around the idea that speaking in tongues (often referred to as "receiving the Holy Ghost") is necessary for eternal salvation. It is an essential component, and being Baptized/saved is not enough on its own. Some trademarks of the religion include women leaving their hair uncut, eschewing make-up and jewelry, wearing skirts below the knee, and conservative tops. Men typically wear long pants only, and no tank tops/shirtlessness. Church services are long; women and men sit separately, usually. It falls in the charismatic category, so there is lots of crying, speaking in tongues, dancing, and "holy rolling", although dancing in and of itself is usually forbidden, along with alcohol, gambling, movies, etc. Have you had experiences with the Apostolic/Pentecostal faith? Do you think it's a cult or has cult-like tendencies, or do you think it's just a charismatic faith that just isn't right for everyone? I will say that the church in my area is very controlling of its members, and has many characteristics that I would consider unhealthy and cult-like. I am very skeptical of the faith based on my own personal experiences, but I would like to hear from others on the subject. I'll share more on what I've experienced if more info would be appreciated.
