I got to wondering what the Duggars' names would have been had they all been born a century earlier, and this is the result! I feel honour-bound to tell you all that 'Victorian Duggars' isn't really the most accurate title, but 'Interwar-era Duggars' didn't have quite the same ring to it. I used the SSA baby names data to find the ranks for their first and middle names, and then I just found the names that sat at those ranks exactly a hundred years before they were born. This was challenging for some names where I had to dig deep into the text files of the data to find their rankings, but
At some point in time, someone had to be the one responsible for giving everything a name. Things like chairs, tables, doors, etc. Most of these are fine and unquestionable. But who was the wise guy who thought a good name for a fruit might be, say, a kumquat? WTF!!!
"Chryateeve" names of course aren't limited to fundie spawn, but some of them have come up with some pretty unusual monikers for their blessings. So just for fun: Which are your favourites? Any hidden guilty affection for Spurgeon, Sauntina, Jinger, Charissa, Alatheia, Jevenn, Jodavid or little Davia? Come on, you can say it, we're all friends here ;-) I'll go first. "Nurie" (crownprincess of the Rodriguii RV) has really grown on me, not that I'd ever use it for a child, but I actually do really like the name, even if sharing taste with Queen JIll in anything really bugs me
I suggest an alphabet theme, since many little Duggars/QFs are likely to produce prolifically. I'll start it off with: A is for Abigail or Andrew B is for Beatrice or Benjamin C is for Catherine or Christopher The goal is to reach 26.
