  1. Joseph and Elissa have arranged to take Mary to volunteer at the OCC depot in Denver, Co., as a graduation gift. Sarah tells blog readers to "look out for Mary and Joseph!" at the OCC processing days this weekend. I want more details on where they will be staying, on a road trip without Stevus! Who will chaperone Mary and protect her from the hotel mini-bar during the 3-night stay?! Answers on a future blog post, please, Steve!
  2. FJ called it. 30 years of homeschooling being touted on the blog. Good for Mary. Now she can move into to a college dorm, go to school, get a degree in Art or Design, and have a fabulous career. Or not. Just like when Anna graduated, I just want to cry over the waste of potential.
  3. Newest post on Maxwell blog (no baby news as of now) tells us Mary (cute as a button-no snark) is working over the summer so she may graduate from the Maxwell's SOTDRT early. Why exactly? So she can start college early? So she can start vocational school early? So she can go into the military as soon as she turns 17? So she can sit home for years doing busy work, and wait and wait for Prince Charming? What's the rush? ETA: titus2.com/blog/

    Mary Maxwell turns 18!

blog.titus2.com/2014/08/21/happy-18th-birthday-mary/#respond Happy birthday, Mary! Don't expect a courtship. 2 animal crackers might be doable, though.
  5. I'm quite surprised that she is a year behind. Most 17yo's are starting their Senior year. I guess I shouldn't be, all that traveling for the family "business" must keep her away from her studies. Oh, yeah, Teri posted a blog about not taking 1st school day pictures over the past few years....
  6. Justme

    Happy 17th bday Mary Maxwell!

Next year you will be a legal adult ready to take on the world! Who am I kidding, she'll be ready to become a helpmeet or spinster in training.
  7. Mary Maxwell wrote the latest blog entry about their visit to a Mennonite museum. I was a little jolted by her sign off, "Jesus' Girl, Mary" Never saw a Maxwell sign off like that. As much success as the Maxwell sisters have had at getting married, Mary might never be anybody's girl but Jesus'.
  8. Justme

    Mary M blogged.

She's still a kid, so I want to be nice to her. Her Grammar teacher, on the other hand, did a very poor job. I see the Maxwells eat ham. There is a picture of a pretty large ham for their Easter dinner. Also, Chris washed all the dishes after dinner. Wow! Poor little Joshie, he's not even one and they put him in a tie.
  9. I think Joe takes better pictures than Chris and Sarah. She mentions our New England weather. So they don't have TV and a newspaper, but I'm sure Stevie reads the 'net cover to cover.
  10. YPestis

    Stylin' Maxwell sisters!

In their new blog post, Anna and Mary Maxwell are dressed in their usual long dresses, but with scarfs! I only took note of that because I've heard scarfs are really "in" these days, and not just to keep away the chills. Mary is wearing short sleeves with the scarfs, which I always think is more for fashion than to keep warm (after all, if it's warm enough to require scarfs, then it's probably too cold to wear short sleeves). If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the two girls are following current fashion trends. It's so odd to think that. We know Steve and Teri do not want to contaminate their precious children with such heathen things like woman's fashion. May this be the gateway sin to bigger things like romance novels and caffeinated beverages? What do you think, FJingerites?

New blog post by Mary Maxwell

It's the first time I've seen her blog. She's only 16, and well, uhmm, I think she's inherited her writing talent from Sarah.... Could she possibly be learning the family trade 'cause Sarah's got a feller...

    Happy Birthday, Mary Maxwell!

Aah, Mary got a canoe trip for her Sweet 16th. Bet she was wearing what some might call a denim skirt...

    Maxwell Bedroom

There is a picture of Mary in the latest blog, standing in what I assume to be the girls' room. It looks like two of them (I'm figuring it's Anna and Mary) sleep on bunk beds. Can you imagine? At least poor Sarah gets her own bed. What must it be like to be a 30 year old woman sharing a room with your sisters? Ack! Edit to add: Is this the first time we've seen a bedroom on the blog? The boys have hideous quilts on at least one bed.

    Partying down at Chez Maxwell

Mary is going to be sixteen! (And she is quite pretty, too.) "Going to be?" Yep. It's yet another birthday they don't want to celebrate while on vacation for some reason, so they had the party early. I suppose maybe the new moms won't be going on the vacation so they're having the parties where they can attend? Still, they had plenty of salad dressing to go around!

    Latest Maxwell Post

New Maxwell post is up, its so hard to know where to start so I'll take it from the top. Ahh, good Steve-O. Of course no word on if they actually got a meal or just all you can eat salad and bread sticks. BTW, since when is out to eat hyphenated? Where the hell is that Star Trek TNG double facepalm pic when I need it. Then there is a pic of the three Maxwell gals with the caption "SAM sisters". I have no idea what SAM stands for, but I'm guessing that it is a typo for SAH. Yes Sarah, because if you say it enough eventual you will convince yourself it is a good thing. Wow, you mean that two babies with different sets of parents may not look alike! Color me stupid! Wait she goes on to clarify further: Yes 'cause even at the ripe old age of a month, we must conform to those gender roles. Then some more pics of the home re-model. Poor Sarah indeed (PS sweetie, my offer still stands)
  16. and are they trying to make her look like she's 12??? For the love of god. http://www.titus2.com/blog/index.php/2012/05/28/four-generations/
  17. Contractions have started. But, with a first, they could start/stop for many days. The pictures of Mary reading her bible with her had on Anna's tummy and the closeup of Anna's tumy with Chris's hand are kindof "strange". This pending birth must be so hard for Nathan & Mel, remembering how they lost their first.

New Maxwell post - more cleaning house!

It's a lengthy post with photo after photo of Sarah, Anna and Mary cleaning Nathan and Melanie's house. Zzzzzzz. There's also a quick update that Melanie is hanging in there with 8 weeks to go. Mary is becoming quite pretty! I've noticed that especially in the last few posts. titus2.com/blog
  19. New blog. No snarking here, I can't snark over the death of a child. It seems they had no clue there was anything wrong with her before she was born. I wonder what was wrong with her. A genetic disorder perhaps? I remember they were married 4-5 years before getting pregnant with her.

    Maxwell girl w/dyed hair?

    titus2.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/DSC_8511.jpg
  21. The picture of her holding Bethany is very nice. She looks like a natural "Mother". Though with Stevie as a Daddy, she may never get the chance. Her eyebrows looks so much better now. I wonder if she were "allowed" to suggest plucking, or if Mom made the suggestion. (Maybe we shouldn't discuss, or Steve will find her eyebrows an idol and the unibrow will return.)
  22. It seems that Mary got something in her eye and is still tearing and feeling uncomfortable. The Maxwells are asking for prayer for Mary.
  23. Justme

    Do the Maxwell girls drive?

I've seen the boys drive, but never the girls. Does Steve think their husbands will haul them around? I have seen Teri drive, too. When they are married, they will have to shop for groceries, take kids to the dr, etc.
  24. I've seen many people post they are doubtful Sarah will ever get married. Anna is only 18 and Mary 15. Do you think in 10 years they will be married? Sarah will be nearly 40, but they'll be 28 and 25. Steve will be 70. He's got Sarah. I sure hope he "softens" and lets the other girls marry. I think the reversal boys will probably marry when houses in their neighborhood go up for sale. Perhaps Grandma & Grandpa will move into the homestead leaving their house "available".
  25. skankbiscuit

    Happy birthday, Mary Maxwell!

Mary, you are becoming a lovely young woman. My wish for you is that your family finds other things they like about you besides your growth in Jesus and your servant's heart. You are so much more than that! (They have a new blog post up)
