This is why people say things like, “Eat the rich” A $30,000 handbag. A disastrous wine spill. And now, a country club is suing its own waiter. A waiter spilled wine on a woman’s $30,000 purse. She and her husband are suing the establishment, a country club in NJ that has a $65,000 initiation fee and $19,000 in annual dues. Insurance wouldn’t cover the purse because they wouldn’t believe someone would pay that much for a purse (something this woman is calling discrimination against the rich). The country club is now suing the employee who spilled the wine to get out of the lawsuit/try and make her feel bad and drop the suit.
Having had a csection, I am beyond horrified. If there was time to strap her down, there was time for some dose of drugs - put her in a twilight state. Hospitals are supposed to have protocols for this exact scenario. Ours did - I even asked. Twilight sedation AQAP - any nurse can give it. She's lucky the shock didn't kill her. And the number of people saying she needs to be grateful... https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/lawsuit-pregnant-woman-c-section-no-anesthesia_us_5b649a94e4b0fd5c73d955b5
morfydd posted a topic in Rape & Sexual AbuseA lawsuit has been filed against Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo, Texas, alleging that a volunteer pastor molested a child, and that the church was well aware that he was being sexually inappropriate with children but did not notify anyone: http://glasheenlaw.com/press-release-lawsuit-filed-against-trinity-fellowship-church-after-molestation-of-a-minior-by-a-volunteer-pastor/ Pull quote: “We sued Trinity Church because we have learned that the church had information about Pastor Randy asking junior-high-aged girls for nude pictures. The church failed to report that fact to any authorities or the parents of these children. The church instead allowed Pastor Randy to continue to participate in church activities. As a direct result of the church’s neglect, Pastor Randy was able to continue sexually assaulting my minor female client for months." Additional background from here (I am not the writer at this link, but this is where I found the news): http://littlegreenfootballs.com/page/319119_PRESS_RELEASE_--_Lawsuit_Filed
This has been an ongoing case from a June 2014 lawsuit. I think its terrible it has come to a lawsuit. The main complaint is the neighbors claim child caused a decrease in property value. I'm sorry anyone has to deal with an autistic child, but it is no excuse to let him behave that way. I do wonder if he gets proper counseling and therapy, the parents have the resources. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2015/10/07/neighbors-file-lawsuit-against-autistic-boys-family-alleging-his-behaviors-constitute-a-public-nuisance/

This has been ongoing at SGM (Soverign Grace Ministries) for sometime. But the really horrific parts are just starting to surface. This is a blog about the second filing for a lawsuit. The blog includes the link to the actual filing ****WARNING*** the lawsuit is very graphic and may be a trigger to some. thewartburgwatch.com/2013/05/14/sovereign-grace-ministries-2nd-amended-lawsuit-a-house-of-horrors-graphic/
Several plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against Sovereign Grace Ministries yesterday, alleging a coverup of years of sexual abuse of children by pastors and other leaders in the SGM: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/ ... TE=DEFAULT Haven't found a link to the actual lawsuit yet so I don't know who is named as a defendant. Given what's been reported informally at SGM Survivors and SGM Refuge over the past few years, I'd say this lawsuit is long, long overdue. I hope that justice is done.
