It’s been cooler up here these past few days. And now we have a frost alert coming Well my plants are pretty much done for so I don’t have to worry about that now. I hope it stays decent for a while yet Leaves have definitely started turning up here and I’m having to wear thicker jackets if I rode in the morning or after work. I still need to get a thicker riding coat as I had to throw my old one out last April.

It's supposed to get down into the mid 20s for lows over the next few days with highs only in the mid 40s. Finally pulled the window unit out of my room at home this evening, I think I won't need it anymore for a few months. It's supposed to be nicer this weekend so a bike ride into town to go to church may be in order and have my brother bring my car in with the bike rack to give me a ride home then. -
We're having our first preview of fall's coming attractions today. Right now it's 63 degrees out and it's been down in the 50s for lows. It's been raining most of the morning but it looks like most of it is sliding on out to the east now. I had a bit of an internal debate about whether I should take out the window air conditioner in my room now or wait awhile. Yeah, think I'll wait. It'll probably be a thousand degrees in the shade sometime in the next couple weeks if I take it out now. Maybe wait until the end of September or early October then pull it out.

Yesterday I decided to pull out the window AC from my room. Because of the way the HVAC in the house was laid out my room doesn't get as much from the HVAC as the rest of the house, and I didn't want to switch to another room just because of that after fixing it up the way I liked. So in the summer I have a window unit in and in the winter a space heater going. So if it's 1000 degrees in the shade next week in Iowa, here's why. We have a joke here in Iowa that one can experience all four seasons in the same week, if you don't like the season just wait a day or two and your preferred season will come along. Of course the actual weather forecast is for 70s next week, and my room is perfectly fine at those temperatures. I have fans that I can use to help as well.
