  1. So I'm doing a cross stitch project for my mother. It was originally to be a Christmas present, but that's not going to happen - it will take me a few more months at this point. It's going to end up like this: Framed in three panels. So far I have done this: I'm finding it really hard to stay motivated, cause the colour and design just aren't to my taste. But that's ok, I'm making it as a gift and I know she will love it, which is why I chose this design. I'm just getting bogged down in all the shades of orange and having to work with a colour I really don't like. I just need to push through til I can do some of the parts I'll find more satisfying - shapes and the blue shading. So yeah, just wanted to share and try to gain more motivation. I like bigger cross stitch projects cause the end results are really satisfying, but the 50 shades of orange part of this is getting really dull.
