Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve visited this blog. I need to do that more. One of my best friends is getting married next month, and I’m excited I get to be a bridesmaid. I realized when she gets married her initials will be PBJ (is it safe to give that information out? Lol). So I’m making her a wedding card with her and her fiancé as PB&J jars. I also lost the real card I got her. Whoops. Advice Time. I got these mason jar stickers in the scrapbook section at a craft store. I plan on having the top and bottom L jars be my friend and her fiancé (I wanted the jars to be the same size). The purple one had a pom on it, like the top R one, which I cut off. It left behind glue and a dent. If I can’t get the glue off and the dent is bad, should I use googly eyes or draw eyes on the pink jar (bottom R)? That would make him strawberry jelly, which could work. But then I started thinking about how gendered pink is. Here are the jars: Mock up of how the purple jar would look with googly eyes: I also got a little veil sticker for the jar of my friend, but the jar would cover most of it. Or I could try and put part of the veil on top (since it’s two little layers, though the bottom one is more narrow and would be covered). This photo doesn’t do a great job of showing how that would look. There is also a sticker wedding dress, that has the same material as the veil on it, and I could play with that. Any advice? I know this idea doesn’t exactly go with fancy weddings, but I know my friend would enjoy it. I also bought some cat stickers because why not, and I could put one on inside or on the back to represent their cat (who is the same breed as my cats, grey tabby). But parting with such an adorable sticker will be hard I will share photos of the completed project.
