I've had the feeling for awhile that she was learning and growing, and moving in a more inclusive direction, but this is a change I never would have predicted. And no, this is not her sister, Alecia Faith, legal rebel, that I'm talking about. I occasionally peruse the Pennington kids' social media accounts because I'm a shameless stalker, and because this family fascinates me (in both good and bad ways). Anywhoo, Hope just wrote a message about her conversion to atheism. She says her family is supportive. Wonder if it's another finger in AF's direction, or if they really have loosened up in their rigid beliefs.

Where do you fall on the Dawkins Scale? Strong Theist: I do not question the existence of God, I KNOW he exists. De-facto Theist: I cannot know for certain but I strongly believe in God and I live my life on the assumption that he is there. Weak Theist: I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God. Pure Agnostic: God’s existence and non-existence are exactly equiprobable. Weak Atheist: I do not know whether God exists but I’m inclined to be skeptical. De-facto Atheist: I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable and I live my life under the assumption that he is not there. Strong Atheist: I am 100% sure that there is no God. I am a De-Facto Atheist.

Captain Fantastic
TooTired2bOriginal posted a topic in Non Theists's Media (books, movies, music, etc.)
OK, new here and really struggling with finding my way around but think I'm in the right place - Atheist Club? If not, oops. Has anyone else watched Captain Fantastic? Got to say, we loved it. Noam Chomsky day, now there is a concept I can get behind! And secular homeschooling.
