    Thanks Stevie

Stevie emailed: I have watched my married sons and their wives work patiently with their children to teach them to be grateful. It is amazing what persistence it takes to make progress against the selfishness of the flesh, and oh how delightful it is to hear sweet little “Thank yous.” First we teach a child to be grateful to those around him who bless him. Then he needs to learn to thank God, Who is the giver of all good gifts, and Who cannot be seen. We all enjoy being around grateful people, but those who are ungrateful tend to weigh us down. Are we dads setting the example for gratitude in the family? Are we looking for things others in the home do so we can share our gratefulness with them? It is one thing to say “thank you” and quite another to express why we are grateful for what they did. Who would have thought how absolutely foundational being thankful can be even to a person’s eternity? “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful...” (Romans 1:21) Steven Maxwell << thanks notice, Stevie now calls himself Steven. Sounds like the back rubs have become more domineering.....

    Message from the ABC girls!

New post: a video of Abby, Bethany and Tina talking about doing presentations on Friday evenings. They are so cute, especially Tina. I can't always tell what they're on about, though. I think it's some "Young Presenters" speech club/debate club thing, which I think the Shupe kids also do. When asked what else they like about Fridays, Tina (eventually) responds "Bible", which is expected.

    Maxwells had a photoshoot

Shockingly not everything wasn't perfect!!! BTW how fake is the final photo to the others????

Maxwells hang out with the elderly

The topic was thankfulness, no games.
  5. I wonder how much of the crap they send gets thrown out.

3 Maxwell girls on 'road trip'

New post up. Apparently, people enjoy Sarah's writing style! And... Sarah, Anna and Mary are visiting small towns; something to do with Sarah's new book.

    ABC girls video (new Blog)....

Crap! My heart stopped for a moment. Three little maids smiling in a row.... I though for sure they were going to announce a new sibling. They talked about doing presentations. At the end, it says to watch for the Young Presenters' Series. I guess a new way to separate their "flock" from their money is coming soon...

    Colorado with the Moodys

Today while waiting in urgent care I took the liberty of reading the cringe worthy sample chapter of Colorado with the Moodys. My heart broke a little with every paragraph for Sarah Maxwell who has absolutely zero options in life. http://www.titus2.com/book-10-colorado-with-the-moodys.html?utm_source=155&utm_medium=288&utm_campaign=423
  9. It's been 5 years since the Maxwells, as Sarah put it I predict the event will be celebrated with a family meal and special family bible time.
  10. There is a new Maxwell post about their trip, with the three standard pictures (bags, Anna making food, loading the vehicle), but when I clicked on the pictures to view them larger, there was a 4th picture! It is of chocolate!!! Intrigue!!

1Ton ramp to close scheduled courses

Nathan just posted about it on the blog!
  12. Hope it's not too soon to start this thread, if so sorry, my bad. Isn't she due in October? Any guesses on date, names, sex-gender, etc... :think. Mods, please merge if there is already a thread about their baby. Thanks!!

    Elissa and Joe, 1st anniversary

Sarah has a new post wishing them happy anniversary, 365 days of wedded bliss. If memory serves me correct, last year wasn't a leap year. Normal years have 364 days. Homeschooling at it's very best!

    The Maxwells Do Purity Culture

This is an article I found on Patheos, about how purity culture isn't just about sex, but maintaining an unobtainable purity of life, excluded from the world as well. The whole time I was reading it, all I could think of were the Maxwells. patheos.com/blogs/slacktivist/2015/09/03/purity-culture-isnt-just-a-sex-thing-its-a-do-nothing-thing/ Relevent observations include: The Moody books anyone?
  15. So I stumbled across this today. http://www.realtyexecutivesneworleans.c ... hn-Maxwell
  16. New Maxwell post up. Baby is 30 weeks along and doing well. Thankful for prayers. The end. Two pics. One of them Joe has Elissa by the wrists and not the hand.

Teri's 30 days of "First Day of School"

Jeez Louise, most kids and teachers don't spend much time on academics on the first day of school. They are busy getting to know their new teachers, any new kids in their classes and getting oriented back into attending school full time. Oh wait, that's public school kids. Sorry, it's the Maxwells. Nevermind. blog.titus2.com/2015/08/05/first-day-of-school-disaster-or-success/
  19. Steve's b'day - nice that Sarah loves her father but this is a bit much!

    The Infamous Maxwell Pizza Incident

You guys, for years we have talked about the legendary story of Teri not reminding Steve to order pizza. Years. And I knew I had read it before, but for the life of me I could never find it again. Well. Now that they have done us the generous favor of putting all the Corners online again, I have finally found it. The Maxwell holy grail. The pizza post. Mom's Corner, April, 2000. You will be interested to know that it is also sinful to ask your husband where he's going if he leaves the house, and to have a better idea than he does when he makes a suggestion. And there it is. The Maxwell marriage, ladies and gentlemen.
  21. Oh boy, I was looking through his old corners or whatever the heck he now calls them. I ran across this gem. I can't copy it, so you'll have to peek yourselves.... articles.titus2.com/will-your-children-have-children/ Basically, if your kids are bored and lazy, they won't want to have kids (your grandchildren, 'cause let's now forget who they belong to....) Humm, last time I checked, lot's of people of all sorts of belief's, even same sex couples, have children. So, well, Stevie, answer this, why don't your daughters have children???? Isn't that how you raised them???? You've don't everything right. Your daughters work from dusk to dawn. Oh the irony.....
  22. In the latest blog post, the last picture of all the Maxwell ladies, Anna looks pregnant and yet Elise doesn't look as far along as she should. Maybe I"m just crazy.
  23. I got Teri's Mom's Corner today. Main topic was kids fighting. Anyway I was reading the Moms Corner page and this little gem popped out at me: "Although we’ve had interest in conferences for this fall, there hasn’t been enough to schedule a trip yet. Without the bus we need to be more efficient in trip planning therefore, please contact us by June 15th if you’re interested in coordinating a conference.". Oh and for Father's Day you get get a discount on Buying a House debt free.

    Abby & Bethy have chicks!

Under the "boo hoo, nobody wants our conferences" post, is an adorable post about Abby and Bethy. They've got baby chicks! I love Abby's short bob. At least Mel's family is "normal" and can help the girls escape when they are adults if they so wish.
