    Counting On: Season Four

Season Four is almost upon us and promos are showing up. Here is a home for them and the new season.
  2. Continued from here: The courtships, engagements, and weddings roll on. Jackson is now a teen and seems to have missed his messy sundae. We have years of law suit discussions in our future! Title by Buzzard.
  3. I was watching Netflix the other day as I unpacked moving boxes and I got to the episode where we first meet the Bates family. They come to stay with the Duggars. Their very close friends who they hadn't seen in seven years And they jump out of planes, etc (which was actually kind of hip for the Duggars!) They went on the outing with Amy making fun of it the whole time and the Bates girls were all dressed in matching little girl outfits, even though a number of them were over 18. And they talked about it for a while, about all the girls, toddlers and up, liking to wear matching outfits. I was sort of stunned. Here we are years later and Erin and Alyssa are both married. And Jill. And almost Jessa. And I'm staring at them. Granted they were younger. But are we to believe that Alyssa, who met her now husband when she was 16, attracted him in those outfits? And Erin with her pink master bedroom. I guess my statement/question is this, even for Fundie men, what is the appeal of this child brides dressed like dolls? Do they really want to go for the rest of their lives with women who know very little about the world? Jill has at least travelled and worked, sort of, as a midwife. Anyone else have any thoughts? I mean the contrast between seeing them as married women and the dressed in matching outfits...
  4. Last thread here: Title is referencing the dress shopping trips taken by the Duggar family for Joy's wedding. Currently, the Duggars are planning for Joy's wedding, some of the Duggars went and visited Jinger (detailed in the JinJer and Seewald threads), and so far the only courtships or engagements we know about are Joe/Kendra and Joy/Austin. In other words, the Duggars are boring as ever. Wake me up when something interesting happens.
  5. Last thread found here: Sierra is a alleged wedding planner, turned caterer, turned wedding coordinator, and who knows what she'll invent herself as next. Title is from one of her newest instagram posts, where she said that she said she wants the love in her marriage to be so strong that nobody can deny God's existence...in the middle of an argument with said husband. Let's see how this unfolds!
  6. Previously, we talked ad-fucking-nauseum about shorts, and it made me roll my eyes a lot. Then we argued about why basic internet safety precautions were a good idea. Continued from here: Having been a victim of doxxing because I trusted the wrong person, and having had to explain to the OWNER of my company and my father why someone was calling and calling me names, guess what? When I see someone doing something dumb, I'm gonna tell them it's a bad idea.
  7. http://zedicy542.blogspot.ca/ so I would say this an F U to JB - HOT DAMN thank you for sharing and
  8. If any of you ever get the chance, search on you tube and type in "Quiverfull". The video is the fist thumbnail that comes up and the video is posted by paulmartson. Anyway, it shows a fundie family in Virginia being interviewed by Jennifer London (of World Report). The family has seven kids and are admittedly part of the quiverfull movement. The parents (Brad and Allison Shed) raise their kids much like the Duggars. The oldest daughter Olivia, basically mothers her younger sisters (there is only one boy in the family). She talks very bubbly like the Duggar's Jill and is (from her words) pefectly content to practice her future role as Godly wife and homemaker. It is quite the interesting video.
  9. Last thread found here: We're watching the process for Jinger's wedding (that we've already seen), Ben got excited about a water gun at Flame's concert, and we talked about burning food. May this show bore itself to death, but for now...we're counting on!

    Counting On Season Three

Season three begins with Jinger's Gown:
  11. All by her little lonesome. Comparison shopping. Said she is instantly recognizable from the back.

Jill & Jessa specials coming - MERGED

Many Duggar threads are talking about the upcoming specials on Jill and Jessa. I am thinking it needs it's own thread (mods fix if you think otherwise). https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/tlc-specials ... 40928.html So Buzzard, can you stomach the specials and take one for the team and do the recaps? Do we need to send provisions? Pray to :fsm:?
  13. Carry on from here: As for the threat title, I present the atrocity that Canada inflicted upon us:
  14. Pregnancy and childbirth are wonderful when they are your CHOICE. Look at Jessa, who has been PG for 16 months of her 24 months of married life. At just turned 24, that's a hell-of-a start. Can you even imagine? Find me the vomiting sweat pea.
  15. Continue from here: And in keeping with our tradition of songs, here's the inspiration for the title:
