  1. Hi guys, I usually don't post too much, but wanted to share this sighting with you. My friend and I live in NYC, and my friend was just in Times Square tonight after work. She called me saying she was right in front of Benessa, AND Jill and Derick! Aren't they supposed to be doing some good Christian mission work! Anyway, here are some photos my friend took of Benessa.

  5. I am assuming that this is going to be a thing. Ben is unable to be more than a supporting 'actor' in this video although when prompted he has a lot to say about how he would take cold showers to punish himself for sinning and that reminding himself that he would have an unpleasant cold shower would deter him from sin. He doesn't do this anymore, but simply turns his sin over to Jesus to deal with. Cos you know Jesus already paid the debt for his sin. As I listened to him speak all I could think was "is he talking about masturbating??!" This was in response to someone asking for help with self-harming. Although Ben tried to be sensitive he equated his cold showers with the self-harm the questioner is afflicted with. They should have told the person to seek actual psychiatric/medical help if they are self-harming. .inquisitr.com/2244447/duggar-videos-jessa-seewalds-husband-discusses-past-battles-with-self-harm-video/

    Dillwalds at ALIVE

Jill and Jess and Derrick and Ben may as well be a couple of couples together in a relationship. http://www.people.com/article/jill-dugg ... e-festival Unlike other People articles, the author of this one isn't even trying to make it interesting. Dillward went to the event. They did this. They talked parenting advice. A few fans support them. A fan said she wouldn't like to be judged for her choices at 14. End article. It was written like a straight recount of events with a slight attempt at appearing sympathetic, but like the author just didn't care. Also Jill said Izzy's sleeping through the night at 11 weeks. That is so unusual that I wonder if she's using Babywise.
  7. In honor of Father's Day, post your special messages to Duggar Dads on this thread. 8. Now that Jessa is with child, and clearly has zero fertility issues, is it wrong to find it selfish that they still want to go through with adoption in the next couple of years? Keep in mind I dont know who they are trying to adopt, but I would be shocked if it wasnt a healthy baby that they were trying to adopt, if its not I completely reverse my opinion. There are many, many people who cannot have children, and the waitlist for adoption is extensive, whats your opinion on adoption so young, and with clearly no fertility issues?
  9. So I've caught snippets here and there that Ben will soon be graduating community college and then he's going to pursue being a pastor. My experience with Southern Baptist pastors and Catholic priests is that they are well-educated, a bachelor's degree plus seminary. Obviously this does not apply to IFB, does anyone know exactly what sort of church environment Ben was raised? Does he seriously think that an AA is enough?
  10. What collage did he attend? Was it a 2 yr community one?

  12. I was perusing Instagram and came across this lovely picture: https://instagram.com/p/0nW-b3jfs5/?tak ... ssaseewald It looks *nothing* like a couple new to kissing. Contrast that to Jill's awkward kissing photo: http://img2-1.timeinc.net/people/i/2014 ... 00-600.jpg Now, maybe Benessa spent some time practicing after they had their first private kiss away from their congregation. However, I read the story of another former fundie who says she and her fiancee sneaked some kisses in before their wedding, despite being chaperoned. She says it was easy to tell the younger siblings to split/look the other way. And Jessa is a lady who know what she wants. So I am not sure I'd be surprised. Or maybe Jessa's photographer was just better than Jill's at guiding the couple. What do y'all think?
  13. It bothers me so much how Jessa had started to take on Ben's annoying little quirks and mannerisms over the course of their courtship. You know what I mean: the little chin lifts at the end of every sentence, moving his chin up and down as he talks, and that little eyebrow raise/flick that he does just randomly. Just goes to show how these girls are incapable of being truly themselves, they have to become whoever they are spending the most time with. Also just shows how obsessed Jessa is with Ben.
  14. It's interesting to me that for how "formulaic" the whole courtship to engagement to marriage process seems to be, JB and M are actually somewhat liberal in a sense with whom they allow their children to court. Most parents wouldn't fly to Nepal with their daughter so she could meet a boy. The age gap with Jessa being 3 years older than teenage Bin is a little different for most people. Now this possible very young marriage for Josiah, is also unconventional by today's standards. So it is interesting how in a sense they are very strict, and in another quite open-minded.
  15. Okay so everyone is making fun of how the pastor said Ben's name but everyone I know says it like that too lol. However, I've never heard Ben pronounced Bin either so can someone throw me a bone here and phonetically spell how other people pronounce Benjamin. Haha also has anyone else noticed any strange other pronunciation on the show? I'm just curious, I live in the Midwest so the duggars sound normal to me.

  17. Just because we found out where they live and we need a thread (if you all want - if you don't delete it) Now we can discuss "The Writer" and he feels about ice cream So this morning he posted about the world And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." -Genesis 1:3-5 In creation, God displays His absolute power and sovereignty as Creator. He commands, and it is so. He says "Let there be light." and there is light. The countless stars are mentioned on a small side note! Doubtless, God could have created all things in a single moment. Almighty Jehovah could have created a zillion universes in a split second--and infinitely more. Why then, did God use an entire day to create this category of creation or that? Why an entire six days to create the universe, when He might have done so in an instant? He certainly wasn't weary or tired. If God needed rest, He wouldn't be God. Doesn't Psalm 121:4 say that He never slumbers or sleeps? God worked six days and rested on one not because He needed rest, but as a pattern for mankind. God set the example. God created order. In His infinite wisdom He ordained the week, but not because He was weak. Someone apparently is weak
  18. So I was looking through Jessica Seewald's instagram and noticed how normal she is. She follows butt workouts and a lot of secular pages. Her comments about hating sidehugs also seem like a big FU to the Duggars as well. I also noticed that while she follows Ben and Jessa, they don't follow her back. I could be looking way too into things but I thought it was interesting. I hope Jessa doesn't push him away from his family because they are too worldly.
  19. Apparently Ben posted on his Instagram on Easter about the resurrection of Jesus and people who didn't believe weren't following the facts. He also sort of put down other religions while he did it and a lot of the comments from his followers were not very happy with him "spreading hate" and an "us vs. them" mentality regarding other religions. Many commenters, Christians themselves, felt that he was in a position of power and influence and should be using that to spread love and acceptance for other religious beliefs that differ from his own. The article at http://starcasm.net/archives/311818 states: "Making matters worse was the tone of his personal caption, which said, “Look at the facts y’all. You have to go on blind faith to believe that Jesus didn’t resurrect. All the evidence shows that Jesus rose from the dead. He was seen by over 500 eyewitnesses over a period of a month-plus.â€Although most who follow the Duggars (and Seewalds) are Christian, there is plenty of dissent in the comments section.“Why must you put down other religions? I know that you have a strong faith for your religion, but shouldn’t everyone except [sic] one and other regardless of what they believe in, and if not that at least provide the understanding that others do believe just as strongly as you believe in your faith In their own (those who follow other religions),†one responded to the post. “I do not ask this because I am putting down your beliefs, I ask this because so many except your religious beliefs and you should do the same for others.â€Another added, “A lot of the people who have questioned Ben’s post are actually Christians of one form or another anyway (myself included). The main issue we are trying to put across is that he is in a position of power and influence because of his fame, especially to young minds, yet he is spreading an us v them stance on Christianity often with a condescending/disrespectful tone which can end up breeding hatred and it’s a shame he doesn’t use his platform to spread the love of Christ more rather than this vengeful stuff which he often posts.â€" I doubt that he or Jessa will ever show any acceptance of other religions or beliefs. They (and all the Duggars really) are far too arrogant and steeped in their own smug superiority of being the only ones who believe in the right way to do that. Jessa and Ben seem particularly angry and almost hostile about many issues, hence there's been a lot of controversy over many of their tweets and posts which often seem to come off as attacking and rude or just inappropriate (ie: Jessa Holocaust and abortion comparison after viewing the Holocaust museum). It's like they can't get out of their own little mindset and religious tapes to try to see something like the Holocaust separately and apart from their "issues" much less try to understand or have compassion for those who are different.

    Blessa Bump Watch Part 2

I agree with this. She would not be sledding if there's any possibility of being pregnant. I halfway expect to see her taking a pregnancy test before going out on a future ep. ! {TEXT1}: Continued from Blessa Bump Watch: viewtopic.php?f=87&t=24192
  23. I think Jessa and Ben are posting all their "views" all over social media because their aim is to be the next Evangelical Power Couple...the next Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker (well without the Jessica Hahn part...though that usually is how these Evangelical couples and extreme Right Wing politicians wind up...the husband likes someone on the side, sometimes a hussy and sometimes men) A HUGE portion of the US is Evangelical so they have an audience who will listen and agree with them. Just look up stats on Christianity in the USA. Here is an old picture of Jim and Tammy Faye when they were puppet ministers. Look familiar in a strange way? Jim is a cross between Pecan Thief and Ben! Tammy without all the makeup looks like a 1960s Duggar. http://www.montrealgazette.com/entertai ... e=620x400s
  24. intouchweekly.com/posts/6-things-you-may-not-have-known-about-jessa-duggar-s-wedding-to-ben-seewald-45282 Tim Hawkins is kind of a big deal in Christian circles. I got his dvd for Christmas a few years ago and he had me laughing. And he also offended me, but that's a little more than a get-together if they had entertainment. Sorry but that just irritates the crap out of me - hundreds of invitations to have an ice cream sundae in the parking lot. Messed up priorities.
