Some of you may remember the Stanley's. They had their children removed because Hal *the father* is batshit insane. Anyway, during the whole debacle, his wife gave birth to a baby girl. According to the Stanley's, they couldn't find a name they all agreed on (like they really care what their other kids think), and so they began to call the child Baby Girl. Baby Girl is now approaching 10 months old, and it appears she still doesn't have a name. IS this a new fundie thing?? Do they think if they don't name her, CPS can take her away? What are the possible motives behind this foolishness?
roddma posted a topic in Wide World of SnarkWhat could make a 14 yr old want a baby? Something seems amiss here for her to want a baby.I enjoyed being around babies at her age, but I knew one of my own was far, far off in the future, if at all. http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/woman-tries-buy-baby-off-craigslist-for-daughter/
0 kids n not countin posted a topic in MaxhellHope it's not too soon to start this thread, if so sorry, my bad. Isn't she due in October? Any guesses on date, names, sex-gender, etc... :think. Mods, please merge if there is already a thread about their baby. Thanks!!

Does anyone remember the carpenter from the 19KAC episode when they were helping the Bates expand their house? The carpenter and his wife had been married for 20 yrs but had purposefully not had kids since the world was all going to hell and there was no way to raise a good child these days. But after getting to know the Bates he now knew it was possible. Does anyone know who that was and if he went on to have kids?
If this was already posted I apologize but it seems in June Emily had John McArthur Pierce which would make boy #6 for them. They bought a fixer-upper in February and it looks pretty run down but also seems to have a large yard for the kids so yay on that one.
In the "Upcoming Baby Season" thread, singsingsing had a great point about the abundance of babies and the lack of courtships. The children of fundie parents seem willing to do what they've been taught(get married and have lots of babies), but many of them are still at home waiting for "Prince Charming" or a "biscuit maker". Will any families follow the Bates' example and change some of their courtship rules? In the future will there be more Sara Maxwells or Erin Bateses? What do you think is the #1 reason for the growing number of SAHD and SAHS?
fakepigtails73 posted a topic in ATI/IBLP - Gothardism & Bill GothardI might have too much time on my hands but here's something I noticed: I never saw any of the Duggar babies (Jennifer in the earlier series, Jordyn, Josie, Mackynzie and Michael) with a pacifier... Never! Is there a "no pacifier for the little ones" rule in Gothard-ism or something? Now that I think about it I've never seen the latest Bates baby (Judson?) with one in his mouth either ... I know that pediatricians rule that it's better for the toddler to get rid of the pacifier at 2 y. old, but to never have one as a baby seems odd. Maybe they did have some but I never saw it? I thought about it earlier today while in the subway, yup, that's what happens when I have nothing to read with me I think of the fundies lol!
