Last one - want to end on a positive note...

So I got some hair product for Christmas that promised miracles...from a loved one who is an insider in the beauty industry (aka my daughter in cosmetology school.)

I am in my 40's and believe exactly zero claims of miracle anything but my God...I used them today for the first time and my hair has never looked this good...ever.  Not ever.  And it smells amazing.  I can't even focus because I'm too busy sniffing my hair and marveling at how silky it is.

I know it won't last - happiness never does for me...but I'm enjoying it in the meantime.  And it's actually good that no one is here because I find it annoying to get compliments from people whose opinion doesn't matter to me.  Yeah, I'm a bitch...but for the time being I'm a bitch with nice hair.

I smell so good I totally want to ask me out!  But I can't...I'm so out of my league. :)

You're wanting to walk around with your own personal wind machine so you can fluff your hair like in the shampoo commercials, aren't you?

I don't need one today - it whooshes all by itself!

You can't leave us hanging like that! What's the product?

Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry and Redken 25 Benefits.

I used both at the same time so not sure if it's the combo or just one that's the cause of such happiness.  Will have to try them one at a time tomorrow to test.

I can't believe @Whoosh didn't give this comment an upvote :my_tongue:

PS -- can you tell us what kind of hair those products are good for?  I'm one of those for whom nothing works and most products make things work.  I'll try these if they're for my hair type (thick frizzy/curly/flyaway that takes weeks to get oily)

I'll ask my daughter when she gets home, but we couldn't hav more opposite hair types. For mine think Marcia Brady straight and fine, need to wash daily or super limp, and really hard to hold a curl.

LOL I have been holding off on acknowledging this thread.  I want to see a picture, but was trying to wait it out until someone else asked for one :my_biggrin:

(BTW - I have "liked" that comment)

LOL that was an inadvertent shout out.  I always tell the person cutting my hair they can't go to short since it has to whoosh when I flip my hair.  I'm weird.  Traumatized by the one short cut of my life - the attempt at a wedge in grade school.  Yikes!

and I'm not s selfie kinda girl, but I'll be happy to take a pic of the bottles next to my penguin in the bathroom!

LOL that's ok - just so long as you know that from now on when I think of you I will be picturing your hair whooshing like this

LMAO - and that is exactly what I look like, too!  Uncanny.

Wouldn’t it be nice if she actually told her readers how this works in her house

Well, she didn’t say each child gets to do all the activities. They could all be in church groups and home school co-op (no individual activities, so easy to coordinate), music lessons could well be with a teacher coming into their home, then one kid doing a sport, one kid in choir, “social events” could be anything that only happens once a year - and voilà, she wouldn’t have technically lied in her post, but makes it sound a lot more than it actually is for each individual child.

Jinger and Jeremy attended a screening of Candace Cameron's movie that's coming out next Friday. It's called Unsung Hero.

Last I checked, Driscoll doesn't do repentnance. Thatʻs for other people.

James River Church claims Driscoll was trying to destroy their church, wants him to repent

Well good luck with that.  Driscoll isn't the repenting type.  That's for beta men; he's clearly an alpha, in an "I'm a legend in my own mind" kinda way.
