While I believe you that the scan misrepresents the colours, I have to say that I don't think the green looks ugly at all. It's a very pretty picture. You've got a neat ethereal look going on in the background.  Very pretty butterflies.

Cute little butterflies!   I love them in real life and have taken many photos of the various types that come into our yard. 

Thanks @Fascinated and @Tikobaby  I'm trying to recall what pencils I used on this one, but I'm drawing a blank looking at the scan.   I'll have to dig out the original.  I can usually tell/remember.

I'm going to buy a journal today to keep track of my coloring, which might be a little pathetic, but it bugs me when I go back and look at pages I've done and can't recall what book it was from/what media I used, etc.

I'm going to pick up that book that you have if I can find it, as well @Fascinated

I like it the colors might be off but I think the different shades of green give it kind of an authentic forest look. Also that is alot of blue I'm impressed!.#50shadesofblue

I love blue and purple.  I have to restrain myself on some kinds of designs from just making everything blue/purple.   I'm doing a seahorse page right now and it's almost all blues/greens

I'm the same with reds, violets, and yellow. LOVE those colors and tend to go with them a lot.
