There are articles out there that give you ideas for things to do on your staycation.  The vast majority of them require effort...and leaving my couch.

Not the first time I've felt like an outlier in life - but ffs if I wanted to do stuff I'd go to work.  

But I do like to plan and am a list making kind of girl so here is my to do list for day one of my staycation:

  1. Strawberry pancakes for breakfast

  1. Coffee out of my favorite Hello Kitty cup - not gulped out of a travel mug
  2. Catch up on FJ - I have no idea what's going on here anymore?  Did you defeat fundamentalism?  Did we convert to fundamentalism?  Did the Arndts switch from softball to yoga?  Did Steve Maxwell give the okay on contrasting buttons?  I feel like I've been in an information deprivation chamber
  3. Hot bath, favorite bath salts, and Netflix

    That goes without saying...as long as you're cool with knowing on the other end of my typing is a braless, scrunchy haired, lazy bitch whose main goal in life is apparently to eat crap while doing nothing.  

    That's why I love doing stuff for FJ (and hate real life from keeping me from it) since no task requires me to wear proper underwear or leave my couch.  

    I totally miss you btw.  When you think about it when I neglect the people in my life who I love to hang with in order to spend ridiculous amounts of time with people I don't like at all because the latter gives me money...

    Kind of makes me some kind of IT whore.  Funny, I remember being slutty being so much more fun when I was younger.

    LOL since all the above is almost always accurate for me as well, who am I to judge? Fuck society and their pants and their bras. I can't wait for days off. I MISS YOU! (And I want to have you help me start writing the testing protocol for SSO, cos I rebuilt both tests in a fit of efficiency last week. It's all @OnceUponATime's fault.) Not talking to you every day makes me sad.

    Just because I'm not here to be a bad influence doesn't mean you can go getting all efficient while I'm off being being a miserable grownup.

    And I love testing protocol!  Testing last fall was how I went from being a shallow and flighty poster to being a...

    Shallow and flighty poster with who can also approve stuff. :)  Seriously I love testing - I wouldn't mind trying to break software for a living.  I'd look into breaking out of my niche...but I just got a new chair and it's really nice.

    Uh oh...i do need to catch up.  Widgets?  Few words strike more trepidation into my heart than widgets...but FJ has taught me to be more open minded about life. :) I'll check out the place where this would have been posted when I get home tonight so I can get up to speed.

    I know you love testing B, and you are way better at it than me, so I wanna write up a whole protocol b/c you know as well as I do how badly SSO could go if not tested to kingdom come.

        Karissa Collins 2: Riding Her High Horse

        I don't understand how buying gifts over the course of a year would mean more savings than buying gifts for holidays and birthdays. But I also don't understand not doing holidays because holidays to me are wonderful times and all about children and children get the most joy out of them.
         

        I, like many of us,😉, wear nightgowns to bed. But I have pajamas for days when I'm in too much pain to leave the house and I know that I'm just going to be going back-and-forth to bed all day, or for when I'm away from home. I don't find jeans comfortable enough to sleep in but whatever. Most clothes today don't need to be ironed anyway. Although I do think that you get a sort of rumpledyness after sleeping in something, I also don't pay enough attention to other peoples clothes that I've ever noticed that in anyone except for myself. Anyway, not buying pajamas isn't something to brag about because it wouldn't save that much anyway, as most can be passed down and according to Karissa, their clothes are really cheap anyway. (although it is very possible that the cheap, fast fashion from Walmart does not hold up enough to be passed down.)

        No. They used to. But like everything else, when Karissa got overwhelmed by having too many children, she cut it out and used her cherry picked religion as an excuse.

        My oldest hates PJs. He stopped wearing them around age 6-7. He sleeps in his underwear, but I make him wear clothes when we are staying with family. On those nights he wears gym clothes. Sometimes he chooses to wear the outfit the next day which is usually fine for the activity we are doing, but then I make him change before bed that night.

        Unless they are wearing matching clothes that Karissa chose, the Collins kids wear comfortable clothing, unlike the Duggar boys who were forced to wear jeans to bed. And didn’t have bed sheets? I seem to remember that from watching the show a long, long time ago.

        I wonder too. Olivia Kate is a senior and a talented artist but they don’t seem to encourage art too much within the church. 
        I suspect a health industry ie RN, pharmacist, speech therapist in Arkansas, just because that’s where all the academic girls at Calvary seem to go into. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised and she moves away to a small liberal arts college to study art and law or something.
