If You've Got it, Flaunt It

So 19-year old model, Bella Hadid, showed up at the Cannes Film Festival in this very revealing dress...

Bella.jpg

Not only does she have the looks and figure to pull off this look, but she has the confidence in herself to wear it in public, sans underwear!

I know when I was 19, I did not have anywhere near this kind of confidence!  Back then, I was still spelling my name Cray-zee, just because I did not know who I really was as of yet.  But this woman appears completely comfortable in this outfit.

Just sayin...

I wasn't aware that people were using the word crazy 700+ years ago. :P

Even if I had the confidence in me to wear something like that I don't think I could pull it off

I wasn't around 700 years ago!  :56247956ec304_32(15):

If you wore something like this, your neighbors would try to "pull it off!"

I'm sorry, I must have had your age confused with that of a different vampire ;)

@crazydaffodil Of course. It's the best way to learn about history. They have grown up lived through all the random events of the last hundreds of years after all ;)

Eh, it is Cannes.  Half the people at the Film Festival dress as though they are on the way to a clothing optional beach.  That dress looks a bit drafty but I gather the undies were built in and people who thought she flashed were just wishful thinking.  Sorry!

I like what you did there, but flowers in my hair just aren't for me.  Add them on the dress if you like.  What kind of shoes is she wearing, I'm wondering.  Probably sandals.

Standing in a field of grass, in a flowery dress like that?  Probably not stilettos.

If Queen Rania can walk through Bruges in stilettos, then they are an all-purpose footwear acceptable for all surfaces.

"And if you don't got it, flaunt it. Cause what are we even doing here if not flaunting it?"  (Favorite quote!)

But seriously, get back with me when she tries to pull off my look. Cuz I bet she can't. :P

Seriously, women like this are my style muses. I really want to be them when I grow up.

Love the E name discussion. My daughter is an E name. Four friends who had kids around the same time all have a girl with an E name. Definitely lots of options.

To me, young marriage is usually about two young people who want to have sex but their religion tells them they can’t. So they get married. It’s too bad. There’s nothing wrong with premarital sex between two consenting adults.

It’s too bad the Duggars didn’t go with an E name. They would have had many more choices of names that didn’t sound so much alike. Example Joy Anna, Johannah, and Jana.

Edith, Evangeline, Elaine, Ethel, Evonne, Enola, Esme, Elmira, Eileen, and Eudora. Ethan, Emanuel, Edward, Everett, Easton, Errol, Earnest, Erasmus, Ezekiel, and Ellis.

I’d add Ebony to the list, but the Kellers really can’t go with that one unless they actually adopt.

Well, we know what Mike said when James & Shoshanna married in 2004 & he seemed to think James was great then. Typically, neither Mike nor Debi has ever acknowledged Shoshanna's or Gabe's divorces, although they have been backpedaling on some of their hardline stuff in recent NGJ articles.

Shoshanna's IG reel is so garbled it's hard to understand but she seems to be saying that, essentially, her divorce was good because she wanted it. This comports with the primary rule of the Pearls' teachings: Do as we say and not as we do.

Re: Jeremiah's engagement. Not surprising and also not surprising that Shoshanna seems to have memory-holed all of her advice about not getting married too young.

Jeremiah's cousin, Shalom Brand's oldest, Janelle, got married at 17 in 2022. It's what these people do.

Whoa. Since spouses now have rights, I give it 6 months to a year for a public change in the Pearl's divorce theology.
