Two Travelling Cats!

Tikobaby

Here's my latest...finally got it completed.  I really like the way it turned out and think it's one of my favorites.  Everyone probably knows that this one is from the Creative Cats book by Creative Haven.  :cat:   Colored with Prismacolor & Copic Sketch markers, Winsor & Newton ProMarkers, and Staedtler triplus fineliners.   I just received a new coloring book called Fantastic Animals and am trying to decide what the next project will be.  :marker:

I'm glad they visited Canada!  This is amazing, @Tikobaby. I love everything but especially your decision to make the kitties black. They look great!  Love it!

The kitty on the left was always going to be black, but I wavered a bit on the other one until I decided two black cats would be cool. Wish vivid reds looked better online...they look a lot smoother on the original page. So glad you like it!

Great colours! And I love the black kitties :)

Thank you, @Myrtille!  I'm glad I decided to make them both black. It turned out even better than I hoped!  :cat:

Pretty!  My black feline headship approves :)  I'm glad they went to Canada, but I love the Antarctic penguin too.

So cool. I've always hesitated to use black for some reason but it really makes the rest of the picture pop. I'll have to try it out.

Glad you like it, @Playagirl!  I like to use Copic Sketch Special Black or Prismacolor Jet Black to get a deep black color.  Give it a try!

Gorgeous as always, @Tikobaby.  What black do you use?  My black never seems to be a true black.  I was just reading recently that there are several different blacks in either the copic or prismacolor markers.  I use either a sharpie or bic markit usually, but I think I'm going to have to invest in a better black.

This was awhile back so I think I must have used either Copic Sketch Special Black or Prismacolor Jet Black. Both are deeper and darker than just "black".

Thanks.  Hopefully Michael's or AC Moore will have one or the other of those in stock next time I go there.  The sharpie works fine, but I don't feel like it's black enough for some things.

I don’t remember the phrase Tawny Owl being used, but I can remember the woman who would have used that title, as it were.

Not a fundie- but the other day a Michigan state rep tweeted a picture of a couple buses leaving the Detroit airport, wondering where the “illegal invaders” were being bussed to.

The “illegal invaders” were the Gonzaga men’s basketball team, who had just arrived in Detroit for their regional semifinal matchup.

Dude gets exposed and his response is basically, “STFU you communist.”

He’s also an election denier who has predicted another civil war.

Erica has two associations for me. One is Erika Shupe, and the other is that it was the name of the “Brown Owl” of my Brownie Guides group when I joined. Brown Owl is the traditional name given to the main leader of a Brownie unit here in the UK. I remember she always had her hair in a single long plait down her back.

We use Brown Owl for the main leader in Canada too and Tawny Owl for second in command.

I am a Brown Owl! In Ireland, but was also a Tawny Owl in the UK. I love being Brown Owl and the whole story that goes with it.

i think she announced it’d be Amaree,

My guess was Arrow Canaan on the Baby Names Thread. Her boy names follow an ACC pattern & don't have cutesy spellings. Since there's not much with the aforementioned pattern, that's what lead me to my guess.
