April Fools

I'm going to prank my neighbors this morning by washing my windows and shutters in summer clothing. It really isn't a prank because by now they should be used to me wearing what they class as "seasonally inappropriate" clothing, but you never know. I'm sure someone is bound to freak out. It wouldn't be the first time. A few years ago the neighbor a few houses down had the nerve to ask my bf why he didn't buy me a coat (I don't think Mr R-neighbor realized I understood what he was saying). Dude - it was sunny, not windy and 10 degrees. Not coat weather! (Celsius btw).

Other than that no pranks from me. I'm a good kid today. :my_angel:

And in non-prank form, today I studied. I have read a 250 page text book through twice. I had no clue what I was meant to learn, really it made no sense. In 35 minutes of listening to a guy speak and repeat himself many times I now understand exactly what I'm doing.  (he has such a nice soothing voice. damn, those videos should have been longer). I even wrote about 8 pages of notes - which I can/will condense into one page at a later date. I guess now I don't need to go to the library to get the Dummies guide book out.

Oh and today I'm also happy because it is meter reading day. I get to update my pretty little graphs again.  :happy-bouncyblue:

Today is going to be a damn awesome day!

wife and I wanted to change our Facebook status to separated but could not get it to work and Facebook says it would not post that status on our timelines. bummer a year long planned April fools joke thrown out.  last year I made a chocolate covered Brussels sprout for my wife then to add insult to injury  and a promise not to do it I put vinegar into a cadbury egg.

you did WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I actually spoke to no one until after midday today. It was blissful and I got my windows cleaned while listening to my audio-book without any rude interruptions. The way it should be!

That makes 5 new Mortons in 2024, by my count, and the year is young...

Does anyone know if Rachel had her baby? Kressant posted an IG story recently with a baby, but didn't say whose.

Pretty sure it was the friends baby. She had posted about taking stuff to her.

Also "you weren't ready to have that baby" has a much more awful failure state than "you weren't ready to start a garden". Plants dying from dehydration are kind of sad but it's nothing compared to having your baby die of sepsis because you didn't have the attention span to check and change their diaper regularly.

I would think having already experienced a uterine rupture, and IIRC this was with Freddy and about 3 weeks before his due date, Jill is in a higher than average risk for untoward events and likely is on a very individualized OBGYN plan. Navigating a pregnancy and safe birth after having had a previous uterine rupture and never having had a vaginal delivery has to make Jill’s care quite unique. I hope she utilizes high risk maternal/fetal practitioners.

Everyone is different and it’s her choice of course, but for me only the very crunchy and fundie would even consider a vbac after her horror births.
It’s so sad that her only chance so far for a natural birth has been her angel baby girl.
But for  me, if I was Jill any full term babe would be c section signed up on conception.

3 are married to Helferichs and 2 are married to Bowers.  If that doesn't scream arranged, I don't know what does.
