Spring is here. How do you think I know?

Yes! It is springtime, and it means garden time.

Over the last few weeks I've been slowly spreading out the compost on the part of the garden we are using this year, and cleaning up a bit. Unfortunately my start-of-winter cleaning of the garden path didn't seem to help because it is covered in weeds again :( The weeds are flourishing too :( the grass has flowered already, which really sucks. So I still have to get stuff tidied up outside. But I have started sowing inside. yay!

So far I have sown the following:

  • melons - 3 sorts (one is a self harvested seed from an unnamed melon)
  • peas - sugar snap and regular (sown in pots because the garden isn't ready yet apparently I have to wait until April Saturday the 7th - it's going to be a long time)
  • broad beans
  • paprika - mini orange, regular and pointy red ones
  • chili peppers - jalapeno, habanero, serrano, hot banana, and Papecchia
  • cucumber
  • tomatoes - cherry, and 3 'regular' ones
  • red cabbage
  • lettuce
  • okra (for the last time!)
  • aubergines - normal, white ones and mini ones
  • tomatillo (own seed, have no clue if it'll grow)
  • celery
  • pumpkin
  • broccoli

And this year the crazy stuff I'm going to attempt to grow: quinoa, sesame, sugar cane and ramsons

Next month (aka tomorrow) I can start sowing/planting other stuff like:

  • kohlrabi
  • beans
  • corn
  • more melons
  • squash/pumpkins
  • mustard leaves
  • silver-beet
  • gherkins
  • turnips
  • beetroot
  • onions
  • garlic
  • parsnip
  • courgette
  • carrots

And even though those lists are long I still always feel like I'm forgetting something.

And I really can't wait until my garden starts looking like this again:

Well excluding the weeds ;)

Allergies?

Oh, sorry, no, that's how I know Spring has sprung.

Your list makes me tired.  LOL - you are going to be busy! :)

I have some little tomato seedlings started.  That's as far as I have gotten.

I would be less busy if they would hurry up and plow the ground (for the last time ever, I hope)! Or at least my work would be spread out. And I'm missing out on valuable pea-growing time! I'm so eager to get going. So eager I cleaned out the greenhouse and filled it up with compost so my bf can dig it all in.

I get 'allergies' all year round. Spring does not notify me of that.

And so much work!

yes but I do have plans to lessen that this year. Which most likely won't happen because I really can't control myself gardening. The proof:

That was a patch of 2/3 of last years chili plants! I keep promising myself that once we start getting the permanent fixtures in the garden like the lawn and some trees, that it'll be easier to stop over achieving.
At least I get a good tan gardening.

First Candice Cameron and now Mel Gibson. It’s like they are trying to pose with actors I don’t like. Maybe next will be Gwyneth Paltrow.

He's a self styled historian,  "Bill has earned a well-deserved reputation as a man gifted in communicating the story of God’s providential hand in American history."

His godly interpretations of the events at East Coast historic sites are more accurate than interpretive park rangers and actual trained  historians. His company is called Landmark Events.  I think he was big with Doug Phillips back in the day.

Bickle will be closing the organization's doors and opening a new, smaller organization.  (Because a name change will obscure the toxic, slimy ick no doubt)

Another motivation was apparently to limit legal liability, but Julie Roys quotes Boz Tchividjian from GRACE:

      Quote

Boz Tchividjian, an attorney who represents multiple Jane Does who’ve accused Bickle of clergy sexual abuse, told TRR that IHOPKC is in “fantasyland” if it thinks closing down and starting a new organization protects its assets from lawsuit. To try to do so would be “fraudulent,” Tchividjian said.

In their latest communication they're telling their donors: We're not closing! We're just reorganizing. OK then. https://julieroys.com/embattled-ihopkc-still-asking-donations-denies-plans-close/

I worked at FCA headquarters in kansas city for a brief period of time. Our team was all encouraged to go on an after-work trip to the IHOP prayer room. I chose not to go and I was the only one. But the (now insane) church I grew up in had been tied to Bickle early on and I'd always had a negative impression of him based on some weird prophecy stuff that people called him out on in the 90s. That said, my childhood church ended up back with IHOP and hired tons of their "graduates." Thankfully my parents are out now.
