I'm sorry you view the physical expression of love shared between squid (or groups thereof) as disturbing.  I find it a beautiful and sacred act. 

I love octopii! Even the big ones! There's another adorable member of the octopus family you forgot: the pac-man ghost octopus (not sure that is its common name, or even if it has one, but that's what it looks like and how I remember it). It's tiny and so cute that the proposed scientific name has "adorable" in it (Opisthoteuthis adorabilis).

Shouldn't a Dumbo Octopus have bigger ears?

      My son used to check out the same book about giant squids week after week from the library. It was one of those easy reader books.I read the damn thing to him every night for months. They never mentioned giant penises though.

        Did you know that octopus are quite smart? I read an account of an octopus at a lab that would squirt water at the same person every time they saw her. She left for two years and when she came back to visit the octopus recognized her and squirted her again.
