Today they were playing "Heal the world" in the supermarket.

Talk about flashbacks to when I was a kid and we did yearly music/singing collaboration concerts with the other local schools.  That was a song sung a few years in a row,at a time back when evil only existed in books and was far far far away. When the media  actually fact-checked and wrote quite dryly. Back before click-bait became a thing, and writing sensationalizing speculation wasn't a course for journalists.

I miss that innocence. That is one of the main reasons why when asked if I could chose any age to be for the rest of my life I would pick about 15 months, give or take depending on how well I met my developmental milestone.

15 months? Dang, that's young! Haha! I would probably pick 5 or 6 years old.

I already disliked things in the world by the time I was 5. I want to be young and naive.  I figure at 15months you understand stuff going on around you enough to be entertained, can learn new stuff ok, can explore and can communicate basic wishes. The added bonus is no one expects you to be self-sufficient and are always so amazed and happy clappy when you master a new skill. Why would you want to be any older? ;) Sounds like bliss to me. Give or take allows me to add few more months though if so desired.

I've been asked this question a few times. People always said the chosen ages were usually within 10 years of your real age. I was always a huge anomaly.

Oh, I'd love to be 3 again. By that age, you're already independent, but you still have so many things to explore and discover, and everything seems so new and shiny! :)

I agree. My cousin's children were 3, 5, and 7 when I spent part of last summer with them, and damn if being a 3 year old didn't look awesome.

Not a fundie- but the other day a Michigan state rep tweeted a picture of a couple buses leaving the Detroit airport, wondering where the “illegal invaders” were being bussed to.

The “illegal invaders” were the Gonzaga men’s basketball team, who had just arrived in Detroit for their regional semifinal matchup.

Dude gets exposed and his response is basically, “STFU you communist.”

He’s also an election denier who has predicted another civil war.

Erica has two associations for me. One is Erika Shupe, and the other is that it was the name of the “Brown Owl” of my Brownie Guides group when I joined. Brown Owl is the traditional name given to the main leader of a Brownie unit here in the UK. I remember she always had her hair in a single long plait down her back.

We use Brown Owl for the main leader in Canada too and Tawny Owl for second in command.

I am a Brown Owl! In Ireland, but was also a Tawny Owl in the UK. I love being Brown Owl and the whole story that goes with it.

i think she announced it’d be Amaree,

My guess was Arrow Canaan on the Baby Names Thread. Her boy names follow an ACC pattern & don't have cutesy spellings. Since there's not much with the aforementioned pattern, that's what lead me to my guess.

I don’t think she announced it on her social media yet. I think she might’ve let it slip when ordering something with the baby’s name on it.

Gotcha.  I don’t follow her but see reddit posts about her and couldn’t remember where I saw the name.

If it is Amaree, it’s the first “non-noun as a name” name for awhile, right,  I can’t remember them all—anchor, armor, anthym, aynjel, are the four I remember that are other words.  Then andre, arissa (is is anissa?), anniston (i will never be convinced it’s not after jennifer anniston).  So I’m missing 3.

Anyway, lucky kid gets a normal name if it’s amaree
