Mystical Mandala 9 and Stress Free Page

Mystical Mandalas page 9.  I'm not wild about the 'inner' flower with the 'outer ring'  But that could be me being picky.  The second one is from Stress Free Coloring.  This first was done at work.  The second at home.  The second page made my hand a bit crampy at times because there is some tiny spots in there.  Also there some of that is connected across the whole page.  Which I mostly did in different shades of orange but I didn't care if it was continuous color or not so I did what I wanted.    Both done with CraZ Art colored pencils.

I love that second page, but I don't see how anybody could consider it stress free.  Maybe I'm just wired opposite to everybody else, but all those little places would make me crazy.

@SoSoNosy, I must be wired the same as you as that does not look stress free to me either.

They are both lovely pictures, I really like looking at all the different mandalas you do @clueliss, still haven't worked up the courage to try one myself, I'm still too scared I will make a complete mess of it lol.

With stuff like the second one I find that I think of it in small bits.  I started with the round flower in the center with the yellow petals and moved on from there.  Not necessarily out.   That green swirl leaf immediately above that flower was colored last night and one of the last pieces I did.

I have started a mandala, it's in a book called "entangles" or something like that (it's in another room and I'm lazy).  So I guess it's ready-made zentangles for people to color.  But it's a fairly simple one; there are some killers in that book.  I'll post my latest flowery one in the next couple of days; it has a scalloped border thing that started annoying me, so I stopped and left most of it blank.

I love the colors you used in both.  Your mandalas always look great.   I agree with the outer circle around the flower.  It kind of looks like the artist couldn't figure out what to do with that space so just made it a circle.  I think the colors you used on it are great though.

That second picture looks nothing like stress free to me either.  I recently did a similar kind of page and found if I focused on one type of shape or one small section at a time, it really wasn't that bad.  That being said, I'm not ready to do another page like that anytime soon ;)
