My Latest Owl!

Sorry it's been so long...work and doing photography slowed down my coloring.  Worked on this one a little here and a little there for weeks before finally getting it finished last night and I like it. First page where I left the background white and I think it looks good that way...lots of colors popping all over!  I like the way the owl turned out and it was lots of fun coloring all the little pictures.  Am working on another page now...it's from the nature book. Let me know what you all think

Oh Fish In The Sea

Here's my first attempt using coloured pencils, Artist Loft. It was harder than I expected as I kept trying to get darker colours by pressing hard. Ended up hurting my finger joints and wrinkling the paper but not really getting the dark colours I was after. It was fun, though. Picture is from The Calm Colouring Book.

More flowers

Another flower entry by me; the book is all flowers.  I enjoyed these little flowers, but the border thing bugged me so I just stopped trying on it.  I should have gone back and filled in the "bubbles" (or whatever they are) more, but I didn't.  I was ready to move on.

Mystical Mandala 9 and Stress Free Page

Mystical Mandalas page 9.  I'm not wild about the 'inner' flower with the 'outer ring'  But that could be me being picky.  The second one is from Stress Free Coloring.  This first was done at work.  The second at home.  The second page made my hand a bit crampy at times because there is some tiny spots in there.  Also there some of that is connected across the whole page.  Which I mostly did in different shades of orange but I didn't care if it was continuous color or not so I did what I wanted.

First submission - Reindeer

I received a coloring book and pencils as a Christmas gift and I have worked on a few pictures since. This was my first completed picture of three reindeer. I hope you like it!

For Achievement in Butchering an A'hole, the award goes to...

So, we took our family to the airport earlier today.  Gave my sons, daughter-in-law and baby granddaughter hugs. Shed some tears (which is ridiculous given we will be home in a few days).  This entry is the result of the following: Sadness at them leaving. Glee/relief at them leaving. Super absorbent paper in Sweary book (not ideal for markers). Extremely limited supplies here. Basic Prismacolour marker pack, Sargent gel pens and wine. Regression over past three wee

Ravenclaw

I finished the Ravenclaw coat of arms this morning, I wasn't going to do another of the house pictures so soon but they are really quick to get finished so just done this one, will prob get the Slytherin and Hufflepuff coats of arms done in the next few days.  I used Crayola supertips, Sharpies and Stabilo fine liners.

Owls - Pretty in Pink

So, this thing called "being a grown-up" is kicking my ass right now, and I've barely colored at all in the past few weeks. But today I FINALLY finished this page from the "Owls" book that I think quite a few of you also have. If anybody would like to share how they colored this page, I would love to see it! Oh, and I used colored pencils if that isn't obvious (lol).

Gryffindor

I done Gryffindor today as it is my House coat of arms, I used Crayola supertips, sharpies and a stabilo fine liner. I have the other 3 houses still to do but not sure when I will get them done.

When Pigs Fly...

Haven't posted one for awhile...so much going on around here.  Here's my latest from Curious Creatures. I love the cars and planes!  Am now working on one from the Owl book.

Owl

This is another one that a member has done before me.   One of @Fascinated's first posts was this owl.   You can see her version here:   Mine was done with prismacolor premier colored pencils.   Please excuse all the weird "washer phone" artifacts in the picture.

Would you like to colour this in?

A friend sent me this picture asking me the question in the title of this post.  It is a lovely wallpaper and I think if I had it on my walls it would be really hard not to pick up my pens and pencils to colour it in.  Might take me a wee while to get it done tho lol.

Balloons

This is the first picture I'm completely happy with, it makes me smile when I look at it :-) I used stabilo fine liners for all of it, my neon green is starting to run out, but it got the job done thankfully.  It's a great excuse to buy new pens tho lol

Sort of, almost....

Ok, it's not colouring as such, more wandering around on paper after standing in paint. But he's only 13 weeks old & can't hold a pencil, so he gets a few colouring points right?   His paws are not usually this shade of pink......   With a bit of help from MissBlah......   The artist and his masterpiece......

My First Contribution

I finally got the nerve to post a picture and it's taken  me for ever to figure out  how.. It's from a book called Art Therapy Mandalas and More. I used gel pens which I love the look of except some of them don't flow well while others let the ink out in globs. Since I'm new to this I don't know if all gel pens are like this or if I need a better quality one.

Detailed Flowers

My newest creation from Johanna Basford's Secret Garden, and the first time I've used markers.  So much better for all the tiny details and much quicker than pencil crayons (which I used for most of the page).  I know I'll try them again, but being able to erase pencil crayons still makes them my preferred choice!

Owl

A page from the HP Creatures coloring book. I used crayons.

Enchanted Forest Owl

This is the first one I did with my new prismacolours, and this was kind of a chance to test out the colour, how much pressure to apply, etc. I'm happy with how it turned out (plus I love owls). Stay tuned... there's a squirrel coming up next.

      Went here tonight for dinner

They have a kind of Juicy Lucy called the Blucy - which is a type of Juicy Lucy with blu cheese.  When my mom, sister, brother in law, and niece were up last weekend we went to the 42nd street location in Minneapolis.  Tonight I went to the Como Ave location instead.  Yeah, it hit the spot.
