Crazy Cat Lady coloring book page

Hey everyone! I was recently gifted a new coloring book called "Crazy Cat Lady"!!! It is very cute and snarky.  The book is quite short, and the drawings are simple and easy to color, which might be nice when I am tired of the little details in some of my other books.  There is actually a story that runs through the book, so that you can flip through it and it tells you how a regular lady eventually becomes a crazy cat lady (TM) hehe.  I colored the first page (the cover page?) using my trusty P

Birds

I have one more crappy tablet picture that I decided I might as well post.  This is the same as the last few.  Color Super Cute Animals and sharpies. Super washed out again.  tans=oranges. Edit to add:  Oh I didn't save the cropped version, apparently.  For those of you that were wondering about the slotted boxes you can get a pretty good idea from this pic.  I have various misc small sets and sharpies in one and my "artist grade" and bic mark its in the other. Gel pens and markers too

Orchid Bunny

I love this Color Super Cute Animals book.  Most of what I've colored recently has been out of it.  This is the Orchid Bunny.  My husband suggested I used orchid since I spent so much time looking for that marker.  The colors are *really* washed out because shitty tablet picture in low light.  To give you an idea, the places you see really light brown/tan color....that's all orange.  This was done mostly with sharpies since I'm currently on a sharpie kick.  The main body is orchid and the flower

Joanna Basford Owl

This little dude was in a postcard book. Hard as heck to do. I will likely not do anymore from that. It needs like .1mm to do successfully.

Bunny in a cup

I did it!  I am caught up!  Now to stay that way.   In celebration, here is a page I did recently.  It's from the book Color Super Cute Animals by Jane Maday.   The quality is not great, as I snapped it with my tablet in less than optimal light, but I didn't want to wait for my husband to get around to scanning it.  This was done mostly with Sharpies.  The greens in the tea cup are prismacolor markers.

Cute Witch

I know I'm late for Halloween but I sat and coloured this page today. It is from my Molly Harrison book again, I just love how cute the pictures are. I used Winsor & Newton ProMarkers, Emerald, Crimson, Prussian, Soft Lime, Pumpkin, Yellow, Olive Green, Burnt Orange, Satin, Ivory and Ice Grey 1, 2 & 3. I also used Gold and Silver metallic glitter gel pens.

Animal Kingdom giraffes

I dug out my gel pens for this one. The photo is a bit washed out in the top right quadrant. I appleuhgize .  Mr. F likes this, so maybe it's nice. Been looking at it so long I honestly can't tell.   Wow. This looks yuuuge!  Sorry.

'How Do I Love Thee?..'

This is another from 'The World of Favourite Poems' by Jane Heyes.  I used five Prisma markers (Canary yellow, Carmine red, Crimson red, Utlramarine and Aquamarine).  I wanted each element to look different by switching up the concentration and placement of the same colours.  I like this. I think it's because I really must like these colours as I seem to use them often. Oh, I almost forgot the background - it is Copic Pale Yellow.

Pretty Flowers

One of those Stained Glass books-Asian themed. Colored the back with markers and front with pencil and Gellys. I bought the 74 set of Gellys (love it).

What's with me and elephants?

Well, this is my first in months!  It's from the new Johanna Basford book, Magical Jungle. I chose this picture because it is simple. The toucan doesn't blend in to the sand (? in the jungle?), as much in real life; they are different colours. I used all Copics, probably about twenty.  I wasn't going to post it as it is certainly nothing special but, obviously, I decided to anyway.  I'm happy to be back at it though!

Star Angel

Hi everyone, it's been ages since I coloured, I didn't realise just how long it had been until I saw my last entry on the blog was in August!  Been off FJ for a bit as well but hopefully back posting and colouring regularly. This page is from my Molly Harrison book, Whimsical World #2, I used my not so new Derwent Inktense pencils and a water brush. It's the first time I have used the pencils with water and I'm over the moon with the result. Instead of putting the colour down on the page then go

Cat & Dog Pals

@Curious posting comments again and looking back over the pages, I got inspired to finish this page I left half done so long ago. So here it is!  It's from Pampered Pets and I'm working on another one from that book now. Am going to try to get back into coloring more and posting more often and I look forward to seeing everyone else's pages too.     I've cropped this pic from the original and also edited it for saturation, hue, , exposure, and sharpness to get it to match the original page's

Fairytale book - Rapunzel

So I got my new coloring book a few days ago. It's all Fairytale pictures and I'm loving it so far. I've included pics of the day I got the book and a couple in-progress shots, in addition to the final product.  I have seen some of the stuff other people do here with shading and blending and all, but I'm just starting out. I hope to follow in your brightly colored footsteps  Thanks for giving me a place to share, it's super fun for me!

Whimsical Cat Girl

I got a new book on Saturday and had to start a picture from it right away. It is Whimsical World #2, Fairies, Mermaids, Witches and More by Molly Harrison. The pictures are very simple to colour but so cute. I wanted a book that was easy to use and not too intricate for my new pencils. I got Derwent Inktense 72 count and I used them on this picture. They can be washed over with water to give the colour an ink look, I haven't tried that yet as I like this pic with just the pencil colour.

Basically what the title says.  I did this one fairly quickly.  I haven't been coloring as much as I was a couple months ago, but I had fun with this one while watching Friends on Netflix.

Wishing I had a dollar for every time I burped on my back porch after dark and set off a neighbor's dog. The best part is that I'm sure everyone think it's my BF and not me, because it's surely not possible such a huge noise could come out of my body.
