Shaping Up To Be An Active Week

It's shaping up to be an active weather week here in the Midwest.  On Monday two tornadoes were reported in eastern Iowa.  This was the first time in over 50 years that there had been tornadoes in Iowa in January.  And now it looks like Iowa is going to be getting a snowstorm Wednesday into Thursday this week. And it looks like up here in Minnesota we'll be seeing some more snow from the same storm. It rained most of the day yesterday but we have enough snow on the ground th

Fall preview

We're having our first preview of fall's coming attractions today.  Right now it's 63 degrees out and it's been down in the 50s for lows.  It's been raining most of the morning but it looks like most of it is sliding on out to the east now. I had a bit of an internal debate about whether I should take out the window air conditioner in my room now or wait awhile.  Yeah, think I'll wait.  It'll probably be a thousand degrees in the shade sometime in the next couple weeks if I take it out
